CRY.NN is starting the second half of the year with a pay what you want EP with pummelling groovy beats and
tracks full of energy. The whole EP is built around all controversies and scandals of today's world that
inspired him. It consists works that have been made with anger and disappointment.
This EP also features a remix by Seventh Sea.

Today we premiere the track Maschinmen; a raging techno track filled with aggressive textures, powerful drums and a crawling synth pad. Machines and men in a furious but liberating dance, escalating into a mental purge. The track evolves within a foisting atmosphere with heavy tribal influences.

Wlderz is a Parisian techno duo formed by Cyril and Jérémy, Djs and producers since the 90s, resident of the Newtrack collective since 2016.

Inspired by artists from all backgrounds, in their productions or on stage they like to make their audience travel between industrial sounds, pounding rhythms and hypnotic melodies. Being at ease behind the decks or their machines, the duo has gained admiration for their live appearances. 

Formerly known by their first alias “The Wlderz”, after many gigs and releases between 2012 and 2016, they voluntarily decided to slow down the pace and initiated a change of artistic direction. It corresponded to the emotions they felt and wanted to convey through their music: a mix of techno and electronica, full of emotions and energy. This resulted in several EPs and their first album ‘Swimming In A Plastic Ocean’ on French label Skryptöm which all received a very warm welcome from the public, DJs and media on the international scene.

Since then, Wlderz regularly release EPs and remixes on established labels such as: Jam, Materia, New Rhythmics or Noir Music. In 2021, they are working on a new EP and album  for Skryptöm.

Balrog’s debut album, “The Northern Powerhouse” is composed of 8 hard-hitting techno tracks, focusing on heavy, groove-ridden drums, driving basslines and obscure, distorted vocals. His tracks take influence from classic, hard-grooving techno but with a fresh injection of modern, industrial power. 
The framework for the tracks was developed in the midst of the fallout from the UK leaving the EU and the numerous attempts to “level up” the north of the country through The Northern Powerhouse scheme, from which the album derives its name. Conceptually, the album is an attempt from the artist to dissociate himself from Brexit and the conservative government which has consistently stigmatised the most vulnerable in UK society and spread lies on an industrial scale in order to push forward their agenda. 
Through the album, a series of linked tracks mirror the raw divisions in society, not just between The North and The South of the UK, but also more widely representing divisions throughout the world. As the album develops, a more hopeful outcome is suggested, seeing the culture of underground music as having the potential to build connections and incite resistance in an increasingly divided world.
