After sharing the final batch of FBR releases, there is one last chapter we wanted to open. An unexpected, but very intentional one.

Like Leaves was born from a session with Freija shortly after Crato (Waking Life) last year. The vocals originated from her original poetry and were rewritten together into an intimate form of spoken word.
The foundation was built using hardware drum machines, with deep jazz as a guiding influence for groove, space and timing.

Toolate Groove went on a  dubby soulfull deep house interpreation of the track where space and swing take the lead.

Like Leaves EP is not a retrospective.
It is a final gesture for 2025.

I have been working on a remix to one of my all time favourite songs by Chic - I Want Your Love, it all started with myself chopping some onions in the kitchen at my girlfriends loool and she decided to play it on her bluetooth speaker and straight away I felt that I so needed to do something with this and now here we are! its mad our one small thing gave me a great idea to work with funny how music works though hey people! I've tried my best with this one and I hope it goes down well when I play it out loud this up and coming Sunday for the Freak Show May bank holiday special with Hannah Wants & The Goldenboy at The Sugarmill Stoke -On-Trent have a listen, share it with all your friends and any feedback would be greatly appreciated

The man known only as Lord Leopard, has been smashing it on all fronts of late.  When not riding the surf in his local Cornish town, the good Lord has been chalking up stellar releases for the likes of Edible, Classic Music Company, Cajual and Music For Freaks.

Always with a deft ear for hooky club tracks, and a set of dancing feet for a good groove, Lord Leopard delivers the ‘Swipe Right’ EP for Street Tracks, featuring a trio of tasty, slammin’ cuts.

‘Swipe Right’ goes for the jugular; a spirited dance floor jam that evokes the very best in classic house music, its bass and rhythm section coming over like a long lost Danny Tenaglia production, whilst a twisted, looping riff is deployed to arouse the drama already set by a soaring vocal.

‘Ill Vibe’ is cut from similar cloth, with its rattling drums, booming bottom end and a blitz of stabs, one shots and FX’d samples, making for a dope, underground house cut.  Drawing the release to a close, ‘Juiced’ serves up jazzy vibes over clip-cloppety beats, the roots of which lie in that Chicago/Paris house sweet spot that Lord Leopard always hits so well with every release.

James Solace, otherwise known as UK house stalwart, Burnski, delivers a bumper packed EP for Richy Ahmed’s Four Thirty Two imprint, inviting a host of remixers, namely Jansons, East End Dubs, and VONDA7, to the party! 

Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations label, Sasha’s Last Night On Earth, and Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep In Sound have already been platforms for Solace’s exquisite productions, and on ‘Setting Sun’ / ‘The Light’, we’re treated to more underground goodies from the British producer.

‘Setting Sun’ goes in with one of those Resse style basslines and a stammering melody that efficaciously unfurls to great effect, and has been one of the biggest and most requested tracks in Ahmed’s sets over the last couple of months, whilst the chugging pace of ‘The Light’ becomes intensified with an amalgam of arpeggiated synths, pad sweeps, and esoteric samples.

Jansons tackles ‘The Light’ with a breezy and warming remix, whilst East End Dubs carves out a swinging beats re-working of ‘Setting Sun’, which VONDA7 also injects some technocentric power into.
