Their latest direction, as a newly-cemented 5 piece, is all about a fresh perspective while honing in on what Grassy Spark is all about. 

Essentially, Grassy Spark is more of an idea than simply a band or a genre and in many ways they’ve now become Genre Neutral, owing mostly to the multiple genres they’ve indulged in since formation in 2012.    

But their goal is to be fluid – to flow, adapt and find comfort in the ever-changing musical climate and current of being an artist.

BULLETSCRIPT is a band with a clear message - open your eyes to the world around you, and question everything, taking nothing, and nobody, for granted.

The band consists of a full compliment of seasoned performers from the Cape Town metal scene. A band that enjoys pushing the envelope, placing great emphasis on solid song writing, stellar stage performance and a delivery so intense that your neck will be in a constant state of headbanging ecstasy.

Natasha Meister, prodigy singer/songwriter and guitar player was born in Canada (London, Ontario)in 1990. Moved to Cape Town, South Africa in 2009 with her parents. She was quickly recognized as a rising star so followed the endorsements by Fender and Lakewood guitar makers in 2011. She has performed in various parts of the world and continues to write and record as often as she can. Her latest offering: "What Goes Around..." is an EP set to wet the taste-buds for her full album to follow in 2015.

Ann Jangle. Queen of the underground. Her ominous style of dark folk, electric rock, gypsy infused, theatrical, soulful style of writing & performing leaves a long lasting impression. She belts out her voice on stage like she was born there. This South-African born singer/ songwriter/ producer/ composer has performed her way onto a vast variety of stages all across Europe & Southern Africa and shares the stage with many different artists to bring a heartfelt performance that resonates.
Since the start of Ann Jangle, she has received a substantial amount of airplay and very good write ups all over South-Africa and Europe.
2012 gave way to the Debut album ‘acoustic archive’. With a very acoustic sound, deeply rooted in the blues. Ann’s love for Dark, underground sounds & odd music genres called her to a greater challenge, a deep desire to break free from a box and create her own style.
It was then that the much anticipated 2nd album “KICKING SAWDUST” launched in Cape Town, South-Africa in MARCH 2015, with a more powerful sound than ever before. On this album Ann is joined by an 8 piece band on different instruments including Trumpet, Celo, Banjo, Saxophone, Accordion and many more. It features some of South Africa’s finest talent and has featured on many Music Review Platforms such as ‘Kalulah Inflight Magazine’, ‘Kfm Radio’s Artist of the Week’, ‘Texx and the City Album Review’, ‘Wat Kyk Jy’, ‘European Music Bloggers Forum” and many more.

Since starting her career as a full time musician in 2011, Ann was solely based in Cape Town, South-Africa, but has recently relocated back from a 2 year journey in EUROPE where she spent her time touring, playing music in over 20 countries. She was mostly based in Berlin, Germany, as this was where her deep desire to gain more experience and knowledge of music internationally satisfied her most.

Since 2015 no new music has been released by Ann Jangle untill now. It has been a crazy transformation. August 2017 gives way to the first single, Nothing Left, off of her 3rd album.

DEAD LUCKY: “Sons Of Lazarus” the rebelliously wild South African Heavy Rock ‘n’ Roll safari

«It‘s louder and harder than you‘ll ever want it». With this statement DEAD LUCKY set off to bring their brute thundering Heavy Rock ‘n‘ Roll from South Africa to Europe. And therefor they have powerful dynamite in their luggage, for sure. With their debut album “Sons Of Lazarus“ produced by Brendyn Rossouw and Theo Crous (Prime Circle, Parlotones, Karen Zoid, …) in the Heritage Sound as well as Bellville Studios and mastered by Reuben Cohen (Rob Zombie, Incubus, Bruno Mars, …) at Lurssen Mastering in Los Angeles they show unapologetic that the African continent is nutritious soil for convincing rough Heavy Rock with it’s own identity. On 13th March 2015 the album, which is as strong as a lion with decent roaring, will be released internationally by Dr. Music Records as digipak including a poster booklet and it will create a big stir with a fair certainty that will splash from the Table Mountain in Cape Town to the Rock ‘n‘ Roll strongholds of Europe.

Founded in 2011, Kyle Lucky (Vocals), Jean Labuschagne (Drums), Chris Thunder (Bass) as well as Chris Bornmann and Alex Krause (both Guitar) set their sights on sending the fans of dirty rough Rock on a musical safari, with their rampant enjoyment of playing and mangy variety, during which you can fully live up the Rock ‘n‘ Roll lifestyle. Within their still young band history DEAD LUCKY already have a whole lot of impressing performances at the most famous South African festivals to show. Here they fired up for bands like Bring Me The Horizon, Rise Against, Wolfmother, Rival Sons, Trivium as well as Killswitch Engage at the Synergy Live, RAMfest or the legendary Oppikoppi and hit the road with Billy Talent as their tour support. Now the rebellious guys from Cape Town focus their eyes on the North to look beyond the African horizon and send their striking sound on the journey to Europe.

However, they start off with their album “Sons Of Lazarus“ which contains twelve varied and powerful songs. Musically, the guys count on harsh guitar sounds with straight, catchy riffs, fast drumbeats and the individual roaring voice of front man Kyle Lucky that will make everybody happy who’s eyes are sparkling with joy listening to Danzig and Motörhead. With the opener and title track “Sons Of Lazarus“ the lyrics deal with the subject of zombies and lead singer Kyle Lucky asks himself if they are able to have good intentions as well so that he makes the walking undead look like they are the ‘good guys‘. Of course, the topic sex, drugs and Rock ‘n‘ Roll shouldn’t be missing, which is talked about in the songs “King Of The Underworld“ and “Sin City“. Besides fast songs DEAD LUCKY also know how to shift down a gear with “End Of The Day” and strike quieter tones without seeming false gently. Furthermore, with “Favorite Kinda Woman” a wisdom of Lemmy Kilmister’s is paid tribute to who is firmly convinced that love affairs and Rock ‘n‘ Roll behave like oil and water.
