Featuring four brand new tunes from four of the leading exponents in the darkside hardcore/drum and bass genre genres – and lovingly mastered by Beau Thomas at Ten87 Mastering, this EP offers something for everyone, as long as you like your tinged with darkness!

First up is the new track from FX (Demonic Possession Recordings & The Nightmares EP on 7th Storey Projec ts) – ‘Dark Places’ – continuing FX’s domination of the old skool darkcore sound! 

Second up on the A side is the wicked amen driven ‘Soul Survivor’ by DJ Fav (HWND Records) – check the bass and haunting chimes!

First up on the AA side is the hauntingly beautiful ‘Immortal’ by Wellbelove (Chaos & Julia Set, Tango & Dom) – marking a triumphant, not to mention long-overdue return to vinyl for one of the men responsible for some of the biggest darkside tunes in 1992 and 1993, Dom Fripp.  This remarkable tune has been made especially for The Dark Arts Volume 1 – and evokes memories of the heady days when Metalheadz ran the game.

Last, and by no means least, is the magnificent ‘Ruler Of Olympus’ by Worldwide Epidemic (Worldwide Epidemic EP) – this faithful tribute of some of Basement Records’ greatest tunes is a must for any fan of Jungle Tekno!

Presented on the highest grade 140gram virgin vinyl available, and pressed by Record Industry in the Netherlands – this immense EP is strictly limited – so grab one before you miss out!

SPY has really delivered here. A rough and rugged interpretation of a true classic.

this is def one of my fave remix this year...as the original was a big hit in the past this will have the same effect when it gonna be released....this is a big dancefloor smasher.
Command Strange - 
I love the original and love this one! big remix! the most desirable of all the tunes for me

LTJ Bukem - Subtle and smooth rework, love how Technicolour introduces the original Music bells, fading them up in the mix, makes you almost not realize what your actually listening to, love it!
Bryan G - When I first heard this track it felt like a spiritual journey into music. This remix leaves me feeling exactly the same. Mad props to Technicolour, they rolled out one of the biggest classics in drum & bass.
Jack Frost - Music rework is like a brand new record but with that same class and instant appeal as the original recording .. Great record
Lenzman - My first piece of Drum & Bass vinyl was "Music" and I have to say that the Technicolour rework is stunning. A great re-imagining of the original.
EZ Rollers - When remixing a classic such as Music it is easy to get it wrong and difficult to get it right. Well, Mr Technicolour you got it so right! 10/10
Technicolour - 	'Music' is one of THE cornerstones of jungle to me, one of a handful of tracks that really laid a foundation for everything that has come to pass since. So I hope my deep reverence for the original comes through in the remix. 
Furney - Nice little re-hash of Bukems classic, the new elements swirl it up nicely and the rolling break rattles in your face faster than an Olympic gold medallist. The unforgettable bass hook, faithfully reproduced, make this a chin stoker and a leg shaker.  Don't miss this one.
Blu Mar Ten - True to the craft.
Jay Rome - Really love this remix by Technicolour....he still kept the great dreamy vibe of the original and made a solid update of it....Technicolour never does wrong.
Command Strange - It's really great remix, now this legendary track sounds fresh to the old spirit! BIG!
Malaky - Amazing rework of one of my all time favourites.Still got the vibes of the original but with a modern twist.Not an easy task to remix such a classic track,but Technicolour's got it spot on.Can't wait for this one!!!!!

7th Storey Projects was founded in 2009 by Simon Hesford as a passion project with a focus on unearthing and re-releasing classic old skool hardcore, jungle, and drum and bass music from the 90s. Inspired by the iconic labels Ninety Two Retro and Sublogic Recordings amongst others, the label initially aimed to help maintain interest in these iconic sounds and prevent them from fading into obscurity. However, over time, 7th Storey Projects evolved as much into a platform for modern-day productions that capture the essence of these older styles, driven by the wealth of new musical talent that needed a space to showcase their work.

In 2011, the label expanded by launching an online store, which not only sold its own releases but also featured music from other independent labels. This move helped increase the label’s visibility and contributed to its involvement in the wider underground music community.

A significant moment in the label’s history came with the launch of the Globex Corp series in 2016, which showcased the incredible talents of Tim Reaper and Dwarde, among others.

The series quickly became a success, running for ten volumes and further establishing 7th Storey Projects as a respected name for modern takes on the classic sounds of hardcore, jungle, and drum and bass.

Over the years, 7th Storey Projects has collaborated with an impressive roster of influential artists, including Tim Reaper, Coco Bryce, Equinox, The Invisible Man, FFF, Peter Darker (Kid Lib), Sonar’s Ghost, and many more, releasing music that spans from authentic nostalgic throwbacks to fresh, modern interpretations of old skool sounds.

After taking a hiatus from 2021 to 2025, 7th Storey Projects is now returning with renewed energy, continuing its commitment to supporting artists who bridge the gap between the past and present in the world of hardcore, jungle, and drum and bass.
