7th Storey Projects goes deep into the archives again and is very proud to present it's latest offering - a repress of one of the nastiest, darkest, hardest and most sought-after Jungle Hardcore releases around. Jungle Buddha - The Green Buddha EP.

Made in a bedroom in darkest London town circa late 1992 by Mark Loy (Jungle Buddha), this EP has become known as a something of an influential precursor to the dark and gritty 'darkcore' sound that became prevalent in the rave scene in 1993.

Featuring three tracks of nasty, dark crunchy breakbeat hardcore, only veering off temporarily to offer the equally dark hardcore techno influenced 'Psalm IV'; this EP is not for the faint of heart.

With originals scarce and reaching resale prices of up to £200 on the second-hand market, the track on this release have been taken directly from the DAT masters, given some loving restoration treatment by Kieran Alexis at Simpatico Mastering and finally remastered and cut by the marvellous Beau Thomas at Ten Eight Seven Mastering - these low-fi gems have polished up quite nicely indeed!

Since 1986 DJDZ developed his unique style of mixing and producing. A style that was forged from early Hip Hop, through the illegal free party and underground UK rave scene and now to modern worldwide EDM. DJDZ has evolved over the years both musically and technically and his production skills have seen him remix for many other artists. His ability to mix all genres of music has made him in demand for organisations such as Fantasia and Obsession, with resident spots at Cinderella's and Steam Rock Cafe back in the early days, DZ also promoted his own night, Discovery, a Happy Hardcore Event. Presently he is promoting Basscatz EDM Events and soon, Basscatz Recordings, a record label working alongside HAP. I am the one and only motherfucking DANALOG!!!!!!!!!! There's some ponce in South Africa calling himself by my name and has already nabbed the username. Bastard! I know I came first ,I've been Danalog since about 2001. I've been a DJ since 1999. Having been inspired by events such as Atomic Jam and House of God, I was lucky enough to receive a pair of Technics as my 18th birthday present. I was a part of Relentless, Fuckinghardtechno and Conflagration in Birmingham before moving to Leeds in 2004. In Leeds I became involved with Gonzo: a collective of artists, musicians and DJ's. From 2008-2011 we hosted regular events at The Beaverworks celebrating an eclectic music policy where I played alongside the likes of King Cannibal, Emalkay, DJ Switch, Reso, Hellfish, The DJ Producer, Dolphin, DJ Donna Summer, Hostage, Otto Von Schirach, Kanji Kinetic, Raffertie, The Squire of Gothos, Mark Archer (Altern-8), Michael Forshaw, Ed Cox and Stivs, DJ Scotch Egg, Dankle and Moova, Cursor Miner, Cardopusher, PCM, Pirate Soundsystem, Dr Bastardo and many many more. We also hosted a weekly show on Frequency FM. I have dabbled with production but am best described as a DJ/Promoter. 7th Storey Projects was founded in 2009 by Simon Hesford as a passion project with a focus on unearthing and re-releasing classic old skool hardcore, jungle, and drum and bass music from the 90s. Inspired by the iconic labels Ninety Two Retro and Sublogic Recordings amongst others, the label initially aimed to help maintain interest in these iconic sounds and prevent them from fading into obscurity. However, over time, 7th Storey Projects evolved as much into a platform for modern-day productions that capture the essence of these older styles, driven by the wealth of new musical talent that needed a space to showcase their work.

In 2011, the label expanded by launching an online store, which not only sold its own releases but also featured music from other independent labels. This move helped increase the label’s visibility and contributed to its involvement in the wider underground music community.

A significant moment in the label’s history came with the launch of the Globex Corp series in 2016, which showcased the incredible talents of Tim Reaper and Dwarde, among others.

The series quickly became a success, running for ten volumes and further establishing 7th Storey Projects as a respected name for modern takes on the classic sounds of hardcore, jungle, and drum and bass.

Over the years, 7th Storey Projects has collaborated with an impressive roster of influential artists, including Tim Reaper, Coco Bryce, Equinox, The Invisible Man, FFF, Peter Darker (Kid Lib), Sonar’s Ghost, and many more, releasing music that spans from authentic nostalgic throwbacks to fresh, modern interpretations of old skool sounds.

After taking a hiatus from 2021 to 2025, 7th Storey Projects is now returning with renewed energy, continuing its commitment to supporting artists who bridge the gap between the past and present in the world of hardcore, jungle, and drum and bass.

Have been a long time follower of many forms of electronic music ranging from ambient drone to freaked out Warp/Rephlex techno. I have a special fondness for all things breakbeat based - oldskool hardcore, jungle, drum & bass, hardcore breaks. I have been an avid vinyl/CD collector of these genres for many years, despite being utter rubbish at mixing.

As of February 2014, I made the leap from listener to producer after a good bit of prompting from Leonized (https://soundcloud.com/leonized) to pull the finger out and give music making a bash. I have been heavily inspired by artists from the 1993-1994 darkcore jungle-hardcore period. Especially the likes of Ray Keith, Bizzy B, DJ SS, Nebula II, Jungle Buddah, Chaos & Julia Set, and DJ Mayhem. I'm still at the very early stages of stringing samples together to re-create that oldskool hardcore/jungle sound, but am looking to get better at each track I knock up. :D
