From 8000 Miles’ 2nd album Crystal Confetti comes another tune that gets a bit philosophical. How often does your first response to a situation cause you to feel that your opinion is being challenged? Yeah, it can be often. Everyone has their own take on things and that can cause uncomfortable feelings between people. So, consider in those times, when it might be appropriate to not claim that you are “right”. Let it go. Compromise. Choose peace. After all, being right is usually just an opinion. Yes? Think: I don’t have to be right.

As you may notice, the cover art harkens back to a familiar cover from 1973 and that is intentional, because Andrea and Rebecca are strongly influenced by music from that time period. Many fans of 8000 Miles’ first album, Aggregate, have remarked on that influence. The title Crystal Confetti represents the clarity 8000 Miles is honing in their duo’s style and the contrast of weighted moods and flying inspirations.

Finally released in 2007, this EP (excluding the 2 remixes of songs from 1991 album ‘Putting It About’) represents the aftermath of Beats Working’s 2001 Calm album - 4 songs employing epic sounds, big ballads etc. Until 2007 it was not decided whether or not to treat these songs as part of the still yet to be finished (now released) ‘Perspection’ album. This track is also included on the later 'No More Unfinished Tomorrows' album - a compendium and remaster of the 2 EPs 'No More Tomorrows' & 'Unfinished Business'.
