Somewhat is the 3rd cut on 8000 Miles' second album Crystal Confetti. Written by Andrea, the song tells a story of an argument as two voices fight each other until an explosion of anger resolves the situation into a calm reflective moment by the entwined individuals. Finally, together, the harmony of the two unites again.

As you may notice, the cover art harkens back to a familiar cover from 1973 and that is intentional, because Andrea and Rebecca are strongly influenced by music from that time period. Many fans of 8000 Miles’ first album, Aggregate, have remarked on that influence. The title Crystal Confetti represents the clarity 8000 Miles is honing in their duo’s style and the contrast of weighted moods and flying inspirations.

Awakening is a song written about a deeper sense of connection within ourselves and the world around us. 
Oftentimes, we get caught up in reflecting on the past. Other times, worrying about the future. 
Having an awakening heightens our sense of awareness to the beauty in the world around us.
It releases our negative beliefs and instills the inner peace that exists within ourselves.

This is a song created by the very talented and revered Karin-Maria Brunner, to which she was kind enough to ask me to contribute. She sent me the beat, the bass line, and the chords and said, "verrückt werden!" So nuts I did go! She wanted something that on which I used a synthesizer, of which I loved the idea. 
  The song appears on her album Synthastic, which also includes some other really top ace musicians, including some of my personal favorites, like Frans Beelaard. Thus, I'm very honored and proud to not only be among musicians of that ilk, but to have been asked by Karin-Maria to participate in the first place. 
  You can find my other song, Magic Hour, along with those of the other seven collaborators among the other seventeen songs on the album on literally every streaming service available. So, next time you're listening somewhere other than the Cloud, please take at least a few minutes and check it out. I came across this beautiful Slavic (Ukrainian) folk song about the nightingale and immediately thought, what would this be like in a different musical context? So I mixed it with a little drum and guitar and elements of melodic techno to create this music.
