This was a 5 minute take to test a new patch I was working on today. The guitars are entirely unprocessed in post as well as the drums, the only work I did in Logic was subtly adding about 3-5 dB's of buss compression via Stillwell's Bombadier plugin, adding a touch of room reverb to the drums and a tape delay to the centre guitar.

There's no bass guitar, and the drums aren't entirely accurate, but this was just a 5 minute mix. 

The big part of this test for me was working out a properly gain staged patch from entry into the POD HD, through it's internal routing of effects, preamps, amp models, eq's, gate's and compressors, and then into Logic. I wanted to have the fader set at unity gain and have the POD meet the right level so that there was still plenty of headroom and little noise. 

I think that spending the time doing that yielded better results than I had imagined, and my approach to patch building has now totally changed.
