Helping me Draw The Line this week, with her guest mix in the second hour, it’s Atek, a young techno DJ from Cologne in Germany. She’s passionate about techno music and the way it moves people, brings them together and the emotions it evokes. Recently she’s DJ’d at various clubs in Essen, Cologne and Saarbrücken and she’s a member of the collective Konturlos111, which has already made a name for itself in the German techno scene. With powerful hard techno sounds and fast basses from 150 BPM she doesn’t let anyone’s feet stand still.

Her style blurs the boundaries between traditional Techno, Trance and Hard Techno with choppy basslines, emotional melodies and powerful drums. She also hosts a weekly radio show called “Angie Alfarez presents Friday Techno Radio” on Beats2dance. Her latest track “The Sound of the Underground” was released by Ballistic Records just two weeks ago.
