We're simply amazed with all the great response we've gotten so far. Both from hosting our - ’legendary parties’ (anonymous quote) in Malmø, our mix series and our ”one-offs" that we have been releasing for almost 3 years now. 

With that said it's time for us to give something back - to you, the people supporting us and our initiative - in order to celebrate that we recently hit somewhat of milestone for us, namely a 1000+ followers.

In return, it's a true pleasure to present to you the '1000 thanks -  a V/A filled with 10 carefully selected tracks from friends, some previous contributors and some new. Just as the H.H.A.S. initiative itself the tracks cover a wide range of house, all designed to make you feel. Trust us when we say we’re truly delighted by the fact that we're approaching 2000 fellow appreciators on Soundcloud. For the 35th issue of our mix series we welcome long time house aficionado Carlo - co-owner of Neovinyl Recordings and Good Ratio Music and also part of the notorious SUOL crew. Originally from Málaga in Spain but a Berlin resident since 5 years he’s been out and about for quite some time now, playing clubs not only around Europe but also in Japan & the U.S.

House is what lies Carlo closest to the heart and he had somewhat of an underground hit last year on Organic Downbeats with the title track of the ”Azizi” EP - the 600 copies of the record sold out almost straight away. Carlo also run Neovinyl Recordings together with Baldo, where his latest release ’Black Street Kids’(remixes by Folamour and Black Loops) have been making some noise lately, and the same goes for the recent joint EP with Black Loops on Good Ratio Music. Lastly he’s part also of the ever-glowing SUOL crew in Berlin, founded by Chopstick & Johnjohn and home to the likes of Fritz Kalkbrenner, Daniel Bortz and Till von Sein. 

As you probably can tell from the description above Carlo is a DJ with sophisticated taste, which of course also applies for the mix he provided. Some words of his own about it:  
"For this mix I just wanted to make a a little trip through all the styles I’m digging at the moment. I never keep a straight line in my sets and here is a great example. Dope tunes from loads of friends that let me craft 1 hour of quality soulful music. Enjoy! :)”

As you might have noticed, we do like to share tracks with stories. It might have been forgotten for some time just to arise to the surface at a better point in time and sound better than ever, like in this case.

This track was crafted by the duo BONJ in the outskirts of Stockholm in early 2016 and set to be released on their first ever vinyl release in early 2017 on a favorite label. BONJ were excited as you can imagine but as it happens far to often the release was postponed to late 2017, early 2018, late 2018.. 
You already know where we are going with this. The passion for the project was somewhat lost while waiting and eventually the two pals put the BONJ project on ice, just – of course - to give birth to another one focusing on a slightly different interpretation of electronic music.

Bad luck? Poor choices? Or just mismanaged labels? We have no clue, but we do know the time has finally come for this gem to see the light of day. The two Swedes serve up a laidback house production with that special timeless feel and a groove that truly sticks, and as always it is for free. We think that all of our friends will appreciate this one like we do.

EXCLUSIVE: BONJ - Eat Me

We're very happy to launch the first track from Zadunaisky's upcoming album "The Seasons' Tale", dropping in a very near future and containing 9 totally different but equally emotive pieces of music. We were approached by mr Z and felt so strongly for this project of his that we simply couldn't resist assist in getting his works out there.

Hailing from Nantes, France Julian Zadunaisky has a unique story of  making music in pretty much every genre – apart from techno. He has been writing pieces that could be categorized as storytelling, ambient, instrumental, melodic... and yes of course - house. "For me, music is expression, as Quincy Jones said, music and water will be the two last things to leave this earth".

The first track to come out of this album is 'Pools', a house groove indeed made for the beach side but that most likely could work a jam packed dance floor at night. Both floating and  pumping at the same time, in a very unique way. House music as it should be to put it short.

Organic drums, disco baselines and electric soulful pianos give this EP a magic touch, making this his Go-To 'Discollection' when it comes to choosing a banger to keep the night going on the dance floor.

Tilman – truly one of our biggest inspirations since quite some time – is a DJ, producer and label owner based in Mainz, Germany. After running the Klamauk label for quite a while already in a successful way he also takes care of Fine, the label he runs with Johannes Albert.

Tilman is positive all the way, not just regards his music, but as well as a person. Coming from the hip hop background, making his way through house, soul, disco and funk he now is where he is. Displaying a huge variety of sounds and styles. Always been a part of the Rhein-Main club scene Tilman played an essential role in having his own club nights as well as gigs all over Europe, North America or Australia. As a child, he enjoyed drum and piano lessons, which helped him a lot to get a good sense of rhythm, melodies, and harmonies.

In the last years he started producing music, mostly using his favorite synths, drum machines and samples to release House Music not only on his own imprints, but also on Faces Records, Tenderpark, Quality Vibe, Needs to name a few. You can say, that 2018 was a positive turning point in his career. After the success of his “Love EP“ on Fine and “In My Mind EP“ on Faces the word has spread and so he is travelling a lot as a DJ now. He seems to run on more powerful batteries than the rest of us, so take a listen to his adventure through dance music, new and old on many podcast mixes for Ninja Tune, Sloth Boogie, Rinse FM or LA based Far Away. 

His first album "Tales And Reactions" arrived on Fine in February 2019, and to round it up he says this about the mix he provided: "It's a warm up mix for the party, I just mixed some tunes together that I like and didn't use before. its a summerish mix i think!"

Welcome Vilhelm, and thank you for a fantastic contribution to the mix series. For those who don't know he's a young up n comer from Gothenburg on the west cost of Sweden, known for playing house with strong influences from jungle, breakbeat and the UK scene in general. Touching different neighbouring genres in the electronic spectrum, his own productions keep an interesting, experimental and high quality as well! He's catalogue here on Soundcloud pretty much says it all. The usual backstory on the mix below:

"I wanted to release a mix with music and sounds that I feel has had a great inspiration on me this year, a blend of minimal house and breakbeat turned out a way that represents that inspiration and feeling. Appreciation Mix #48: Vilhelm Hasselgren

An emotional track we've been sitting on for quite a while finally sees the light of day. Our main man in L.A. @justbaker returns to the Society with 'Never Be', one of those tracks that simply make you forget about time and place for a while.

Time really flies! Feels like we started this project the day before yesterday, but in fact we now reached the milestone of 50 mixes and god knows how many hours of hi-hat appreciative house music. Seems only right we welcome back the guys who submitted mix numero uno 6 years ago : Swedish deep house stalwarts Dirtytwo <3

Dirtytwo is a Swedish duo consisting of Fredda and Gresse who've been producing house since 1998(!) foremost in the constellation of Spånka NKPG, an alias under which they released several 12" singles, a full length album and lots of remixes. Hard work which later payed off when they won a Swedish Grammy in 2001. Since the first release on Local Talk they have released top dollar tracks played and loved pretty much all over the world. 'Get Higher' with AFAMoo, our tip of the day :) Simply, a house track that pulls all our strings, at any given point – and most likely yours too.

AFAMoo was born in 1995, and is a Japanse House Producer / DJ. In 2016 his 1st EP was released by Pogo House Records in London. Since then, releases has followed on labels like House Cookin' and RAWCAST, and in November 2018 his 3rd EP “You Called And Told Me” was released on 12 inch vinyl from Lobster Theremin, which we believe says a lot about a lot.

AFAMoo - Get Higher (H.H.A.S. Exclusive)

Coming from the Constant Black family but distinctly committed to the evergreen sound of disco, Cardiology is a label committed to club music with heart and soul. First up on this label is Earl (Yann Polewka & Evenn), who wastes no time in setting the mood with "The Fantasy", a tastefully funked up house joint with French Touch leanings. "No You Don't" brings the disco to the fore even more, but not at the expense of hard-pumping beats and a killer diva lick or two. "No Speed Limit" is tough and pounding, which makes the sliced up samples dig in all the deeper - you could totally imagine DJ Bone juggling this one to death. "Strictly Real" takes things even further with a spaced out breakbeat speckled bumper lavished with gorgeous string shots - a curious blend that works like a dream.

Our pick is "No Speed Limit", an ever-pounding infinity loop groover is well entitled its name. Our recommendation for sure – go buy the record!

PREMIERE: Javi Frias - Keep On (Nightshift Records)

For our 1st edition of the new decade and 51st mix in total, we have the pleasure of welcoming close friend and house hero Samson Tricep. Born and raised in Malmö with roots from Iran, this DJ, Radio Host, and Producer is back with a new mix. Samson started with a living room radio experiment during an early morning afterparty back in 2017 which resulted in a regular running radio show called Radio Ystadsgatan sending live from their studio at Möllevången. The idea was and still is very simple. Exchange of publicity between both smaller and bigger DJs on a neutral plattform where there is no competition.

After a couple of years in Malmö and given the opportunity to work with so many different DJs, clubs and collectives it was time for something different and Samson nowadays operates from central Stockholm where he has joined forces with the collective called Bageriet and now does one radio episode every other week from their studio at Odenplan. 

Having the Radio back on track after a move to the capital last summer, Samson is ready to start gigging again and this mix is to get you in the perfect mood for his upcoming shows. A versatile mix where as Samson always says; the kind of House music you can have a ball to wether you’re sitting or standing - the head nodding is still there which eventually leads to you dancing!

Since taking the leap and wholeheartedly following the route as a music producer in 2011, after what was mostly DJ:ing and playing around making beats, there have been several projects going for Malmö based artist Emotional Ty, known also as Edgar Ariza. In the past years the journey under different monikers, such as his long running Ascorbite project, has taken him through house music as well as industrial techno and running vinyl label business, to experimenting freely with his highly distinctive approach towards creating and playing electronic music. By merging every gathered piece of experience and sound accumulated along the path, Emotional Ty has created a sonic palette which is entirely his own, composing driving, deep and atmospheric grooves.

As for the mix you can expect a diverse house music one hour selection neatly blended by Emotional Ty i, crammed with music from the likes of András, Henrik Villard, elkka, Naux, Hout City, Will Sonic, Point G, Project Pablo, DJ Skull, Ben Watt and some of his own productions included as well.
