Really girl? You thought you were making this? You're carrying. Did you know that Pad Thai was brought to prominence by Plaek Phibunsongkhram, who wanted to use the dish as a tool to unify the people of Thailand around a national culture and culinary identity? I didn't think so. Pick up the phone girl. It's ovah.

Instructions:

1. Download delivery app. 

2. Open delivery app.

3. Search "Pad Thai."

4. Order.

5. Call Laura. Yes, that Laura. Let her know exactly how you felt about the "conversation." Yes that conversation. Say your piece but let it rest. Will she apologize? Forgive her. She's young. You've been there Remember those days? Lord knows I do. Would you have said it like that? Probably not. But maybe she has a point? You can be a little..you know? Maybe? I mean...sometimes. Did you fall asleep?

6. Wake up.

7. Reheat 2 minutes, serve immediately.

Slutty Beets

Are you alone? I thought so...me too. Get closer. I want to tell you a secret; Nothing strikes my fancy quite like a fat, filthy, moist, lathered....beet. Tubers and corms make a tickle, but a real lady works with roots. Go ahead, don't be shy. There's nobody watching. Show me just how bad a cook you can be.

Ingredients:
1 candle (scented)
2oz lubricating oil
6 oz creamy sauce (see page 131)
as many beets as you can take

Directions:
1. Set a mood.
2. In a BPA-free plastic basket, wash those dirty little beets. Work all the nooks and crevices, search the surfaces with the tips of your fingers. Every inch wet and flushed. Enjoy the moment...don't rush.
3. Now slap them! But not too hard...
4. Using a knife, gently halve these naughty little roots. Then run the blunt edge of your tool along the plush valleys of your silken lips. Let the juices free, streaming down your face and off your chin. Let them land wherever they may.m Make a mess!
5. Soak the tubby beet chunks in your creamy sauce, then cook at full power for 2 minutes and 20 seconds.
6. If you have any energy left...bon appétit.

SPRKLBB is an all-vinyl DJ, producer, and photographer based in New York City. A mentee of NYC house duo The Carry Nation, his sets showcase an eclectic, improvisational sound rooted in the mix. Pulling from a deep library of styles, his Brooklyn club nights draw top names in underground dance music for unique B2B sets. These intimate jam sessions have led to global nods, with appearances at hi-fi clubs and festivals internationally. Known for long blends and unconventional physicality, his raw approach to vinyl adds a fun, fresh voice to the format. He holds residencies at The Lot Radio and Soho Radio, and is the curator of Club Moment NYC.

Club Moment celebrates its 50th episode, inviting Berlin-based Londoner Kenny, aka B.B.K. and local hero BEARCAT. Kenny is the founder of the Black Music Summit and runs the creative agency Taboo, where she’s known for building creative partnerships, curating lineups, and organizing community-driven events. While spending the summer in New York, she’s been soaking up the city’s energy, connecting with its people, and exploring its vibrant soundscape. For this episode, she’s curated a selection spotlighting music by predominantly Black artists and producers.

In the second hour, fellow Londoner and genre-blurring DJ/producer BEARCAT steps in with a special guest mix—bringing their own bold and distinct perspective to the show.

An all-vinyl DJ and photographer based in Brooklyn, Andy was the founding resident of the Ostbahnhof parties in New York and Los Angeles, and has held NYC residencies at High+Tight, Bossa Nova Civic Club, and The Gateway. In 2019 he launched “Club Moment” on The Lot Radio as a platform to feature emerging queer talent and highlight top names in the scene. Enjoy!
