Gravitas Recordings has been releasing mad amazing music over the last month or so and I highly recommend you go check some out; new albums by AMB, Civilian Sol, and Zebbler Encanti Experience. All incredible. Encroyable. Magnifique. Le so good.

Also my pal Groove Tease has a new remix hidden in this week's playlist. A hidden gem, right in the middle. 

On a side-note: I put 2 songs by Deep Heads because I just found them and I was particularly blown away. So chill. But not as chill as 'The Journey' by Tom Misch. My girlfriend put it best: "disgustingly chill."

I first met my soulful stellarsonic "Partner In Chime" (Soulpersona) back in 2006 when I was studying A Bachelor Of Popular Music Degree in my Honours year at Griffith University on Australia's Gold Coast. He found me through Myspace and thought my style was "off the chain" so he sent over a track for me to give a geeze that was to become the saucy slow-steppin' "Candy Wrapper". After he'd heard it, loved it, and wanted to continue this international digital dalliance, our creative collaborations expanded into a full-blown MUSEical relationship that would see me transfer to UKingdom's shores to further pursue my career... and to meet Soulpersona for the very first time, 5 years later!

I hope you enjoy pepper-peeping these as much as I thoroughly revelled in co-birthing them. The fated collision of Freesh and SoulP was destined to change my life forever, in only the HOXXXIEST ways! :)

Got a new free download for you all! Incubus has been one of my "go-to" bands ever since SCIENCE, and since I was in the mood to write something a little different and more on the feel-good nostalgic side, I couldn't help but take a whack at their tune "Stellar" off of the Make Yourself album. It turned out somewhere along the lines of epic / pretty dubstep - it's danceable but simultaneously able to be listened too while winding down with a special someone. Enjoy :)

Well on the 25th Anniversary of this classic album they re-released it and in there was a version with just bass and vocals of this wonderpiece. 

The bass of Bakithi Kumalo is INCREDIBLE and deserves more notice. Although I'm not sure a dancefloor can sustain their interest for 5-6 minutes of bass and no beats - so I'm providing you with this educational re-edit. Enjoy in your more Balearic moments.
