Recorded in a New Malden bedroom, October 1973

Another bedroom demo, recorded around the same time as “And I Never Took You To A Festival”.  As with many of these old recordings, the tape was pretty mangled at the end so hope you won’t mind the attempt at masking this in the best way I could.  Hope it doesn’t impair your enjoyment too much.  I 'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been such a supporter of this page over the last 18 months or so.  Our family has been astounded by  all the support and We need to you all to know that every one of your kind words means the whole world.  You are the kindest of people and we will never forget the support you have given.  You have hearts the size of lions.  It means everything.  Our deep love and appreciation can never be enough to repay you all..

Hey I’m Lil Sagna, and this is my new EP Automatic Reply.

It’s a wild little project I made for anyone who’s ever felt way too online, way too emotional, and maybe a little bit both at once. Sonically, it lives somewhere between hyperpop, future bass, EDM, and bubblegum bass: think SOPHIE meets Porter Robinson, with some 100 gecs, Charli XCX, and Madeon DNA thrown in.

These tracks are chaotic, catchy, and a bit glitchy on purpose. I wanted everything to feel like you’re inside a text conversation during a rave:  upbeat, a little unhinged, but still kinda sweet.

If you're into stuff like Gupi, Cashmere Cat, Danny L Harle, or even the prettier side of Rezz, this one’s for you. It's fun, loud, and full of feelings I didn’t know where else to put, so I turned them into synths, drops, and auto-tuned melodies instead.

On y parlait aussi d’amour 
Julie  souvent passait son tour

Henri racontait des histoires
De monstres qui rampaient sous les lits
Qu’il appelait mangeurs d’espoir
Qui nous terrorisait la nuit 

Un soir que l’on dormait là-bas
Julie est montée sur le toit
Elle disait vouloir s’envoler
Sans Manon elle serait tombée   
 
Y’avait tant de  douceur dans ces murs
Tant de bonté dans ses cœur purs
Que je n’ai pas vu  les griffures
Qui couvraient les meubles les morsures

Maintenant le château est rasé 
Et la famille s’est dispersée
Je sais que Camille est mariée
Qu’Henri aussi a divorcé 

J’ai su par Manon pour Julie
Les monstres dont parlait Henri 
Venaient trop souvent dans son lit
Elle s’est envolée une nuit

Y’avait tant dans douleur dans ces murs
Tant de secrets sous ces armures
Tant de violences sur des cœurs purs
Tant de folies dans cet azur

The Comus Clock (Poem and Notes)

This tune started with the random, goofy title. I came up with the basic music and melody, then left it for a while because it didn't turn out well. I gave it another try, and this is the finished song. It's definitely a potluck one, filled with lyrics that are more about cadence than making sense. I hope you enjoy!
