TRANCE FUSION MIX 6 .m4a

Hey guys, something very different from me here for the weekend. For the majority of the tracks in this mix it's the first time I've ever played them (and a couple listening for the first time!). Still blows my mind that after over 20 years of listening to classic trance there's so much I'm still discovering. This mix spans lots of genres including tech, progressive, euphoric, hard - and in no particular order. But it's the most fun (and the most dancing I've ever done!) behind the decks.

There's an absolute clanger of a mix somewhere around Eden- I have absolutely no idea what happened, I think I was just dancing too much! As always - many thanks in advance if you get the chance to listen, it's really truly appreciated. Enjoy!

The Darkside 

#5 of 7 in the ‘Evolution - Cardiff’ series.

This has been technically the hardest mix I’ve ever done during the past 5 months since I started learning to mix..lots of transitions I just couldn’t get to work .. I need to learn more about track analysis and working with challenging transitions.. I might come back to this another time and iron out the creases, it’s been a real labour of love 💛.. but for now I just wanted it out so you can enjoy the tracks…

I’ve included some tracks that I actually really don’t personally enjoy..but, they are proper Evo so they had to go in 👍🏽

This is probably the most ‘Evolution’ mix of the series .. every track is a distinctive track that you would have definitely heard in ‘Room 1’ at some point on a Saturday Night.

I’d like to dedicate this mix in memory of my good old friend Steven Evans (Froggy) who sadly passed away recently . We had some of the best times at Evolution in the early days , you’ll all remember his laugh , crazy dancing and his kind, friendly nature will always remain in my memories of him from childhood! 

RIP Steve 💐🙏🏽

The Darkside: 

The Darkside was the track reserved just for the hardcore Evolution Crew .. The last ones standing .. The dance floor warriors fighting on til the bitter end .. stilettos  are off .. feet are bleeding .. everyone has left and you have no idea how you’re getting home .. but it doesn’t matter 😂🤷🏽‍♀️🤪🫶🏾💃🏾 we are still going strong 💪🏽 CCUUMM AAANNNN 💃🏾🎶👏🏾💕🤪🤣

Ashley Waters LIVE @ Frantic 27th Birthday - Ministry of Sound(27/07/24)

Probably London's fastest rising star in Hard Trance, and having secured a residency with the UK's biggest Hard Dance brand, Frantic, ensure Ashley Waters is heading towards the top of his game and is a name that will be around for some time.

Playing out from the age of 21, an 15 year journey has seen a fresh faced Ashley go from second room warm up sets to playing Main Rooms alongside world renowned artists at some of London's biggest clubs including the legendary Koko and Scala as well as gaining a slot on the sold out United Festival line up which took place at Finsbury Park in London.  

Ashley is a highly adaptable DJ able to play any set time which has seen him gain bookings with some of London's biggest brands including Frantic, Trance Sanctuary, Glowball, Impact, Digital Impact, Riot, Sinistry and many others. His diverse sets fuse uplifting, euphoric sounds with relentless, driving basslines that keep energy levels high from start to finish. Able to engage a crowd from the word go, his sets encompass a multitude of sounds which promise to always keep things interesting. 

Ashley has also gained success through his productions and hit the ground running when his debut track "Intangible" received a review in Mixmag and his debut EP secured "Track Of The Month" in IDj Magazine. 5 years on Ashley now has a number of popular innovative productions under his belt netting him 4 TrackItDown chart Numbers 1's in the process.

With lots of production plans in place, Huge bookings and other undisclosed projects in the pipeline there are some big things to come from Ashley Waters in 2016 as he bids to make a bigger stamp on the world of Hard Trance!
