CONCRETE JUNGLE.

Unlimited Oceans makes its A2K debut with a ceremonious return to DnB. On his first outing in the genre in 5 years, UO indulges in a melange of DnB, Jungle, and Breakcore. The result is a two song joint that hinges as much on abyssal atmosphere as it does dense percussion.

The titular track, "Concrete Jungle", is a succinct mood piece. While "Endless Highway" is a bit more lush and drawn out in its composition.

Riding high on a prolific wave of output, Kloke returns to Mindgames with Lucidity — an album that confirms his position at the forefront of modern jungle.

Andy Donnelly has been actively releasing a broad swathe of electronic music since the late 00s, but it's his sharpened focus on jungle and drum & bass over the past 10 years that has cemented his reputation. As well as working closely with fellow scene leaders like Tim Reaper, the Australia based artist has hit a flow state with his productions where the quality and quantity seems limitless. Since Mindgames started as a Samurai Music sub-label, Kloke has been a core part of the imprint's identity. Having already dropped the Mindgame 8 EP earlier this year, Donnelly is back with a full-length salvo of advanced jungle heavy on the technicalities and even heavier on the vibes.

Gritty, raw and true to the roots of the culture, Kloke stands tall on Lucidity. It's the kind of detailed, deep and deadly album that shows jungle at its absolute best — a sound that still feels like the future in the right hands.

Our man Tiago was in town recently for some gigs and was nice enough to come out to Kane studios to record a podcast, hang, and have some liquid refreshments. Hailing from Lisbon where he is a weekly resident at Club Lux, Tiago has a laid back intensity that is reflected in the expansive and inquisitive nature of his sets. Raised on good music in his home, turned on to drumming by his older brother, he came to Dj'ing via live music. He has been at it for close to twenty years, and in the last decade added production work to his resume. It’s a Good Start of Nothing takes its name from a dyslexic twist on “a good start of something” a slip that unexpectedly revealed something more fitting. Centered around swirling sonic elements and grounded by a low bass, it explores how complexity can emerge from apparent randomness. Like the title itself, it embraces the unknown, suggesting that beginnings don’t always need definitions and the act of making doesn’t need a clear end. Sometimes, not knowing is part of the shape. It is necessary to the process. And maybe, in 

Yoann Pisterman is a French sound artist and composer based in Berlin. Originally trained in visual arts, his practice began with drawn landscapes blending architecture and vegetation. Sound emerged in response and gradually became the core of his work. He describes it as “painting with sound.” 

His compositions move between ambient, kraut, electroacoustic, and experimental forms; balancing softness with density, surface with depth. A kind of childlike topography for deep listeners: light yet intricate, subtly shifting perception and sculpting space. the end, this is nothing. And that’s okay.
