His fresh delivery features a variety of tunes with the likes of Nefti, Skooler & Flare, Scuba, InnerCore, Damage Inc, Champion Breaks, Z-Neo, Mata, and more, alongside a nod to some oldskool sounds that continue to inspire the scene.

As always, the show wraps up with the 'CHOON TO GLOW' segment, spotlighting a track that stands the test of time. This time, it’s none other than Soul II Soul’s "Back 2 Life" - a seminal record that peaked the No.1 spot on the UK Singles Chart in June 1989. Specially chosen for this segment following GLOWKiD’s recent visit to the Black Sound London exhibition, where Soul II Soul were also featured, recognizing their profound impact on Black British music and the evolution of UK club culture.

Episode 623 brings us a mix from talented Japanese DJ, DJ YAHMAN, reppin his crew, Tribal Connection!

YAHMAN's mix combines new/old and is heavy on the amen pressure, a dash of upfront DNB, and some ravey breakbeats, showcasing a smooth as, mix n' blen done with surgical precision! YAHMAN's mix is flames with gasoline poured on it!!

Let's meet our Dj for episode 623, DJ YAHMAN:

DJ YAHMAN (Tribal Connection) 

DJ YAHMAN is a Tokyo-based DJ, who makes full use of the music genre ”jungle”, which is a form of dance music that stir one's blood.

Not only his strictly jungle sets, but DJ YAHMAN is good at extracting jungle elements and sensations from various types of music.

He founded the junglist crew called “CHAMPION BASS” with his boys back in 2002.

In 2009, he and his friends formed a crew called "Tribal Connection" (Currently 5 members) which further expands jungle's attractiveness. In November 2024, they celebrated their 15th anniversary.

From 2019, he produced, edit and published a series of non-profit zines about the jungle called “JUNGLE DOCUMENT,”

DJ YAHMAN has DJ’d overseas in Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, and China and has provided mixes for HKCR (Hong Kong) and Internet Public Radio (Mexico).

In recent years, he participated as the main DJ for the UK underground party "Keep Hush"s first Japan tour in 2022 and also Tim Reaper's first Japan Tour 2023 in Tokyo.

DJ YAHMAN -Everyday Junglist Podcast - Episode 623

Birchy is a relative newcomer to the Kniteforce label, although his previous release (KF266) that played with the Terminator theme tune was a big seller. It's not overly surprising, as Birchy may be new to the label, and a new name to many old skool heads, but he is an experienced producer who has been around for decades, with releases spread far and wide...

This EP samples the classic news broadcast surrounding the famous Castle Morton event in the UK, and the whole EP is deeply old skool and classic in feel. Full on breakbeats, pianos and authentic rave sounds are the name of the game here, and Birchy creates a timless feel to all of it!
