정글음악을 어떤 제한 없이 폭넓게 소개해 온 정글홍대가 오는 2월 27일 일요일 밤 서울커뮤니티라디오에서 3주년을 맞이한다.

정글홍대는 보다 원시적이고 날 것의 감성을 담은 엇박자의 음악, 정글에 포커스를 맞춰 서울의 언더그라운드 댄스음악신이 보다 다채롭고 활기차지기를 기원하며 기획되었다. 올드스쿨정글을 포함하여 정글이 영향을 받고 준 음악, 최근 만들어지고 있는 정글음악을 자유로운 형식으로 선보이고자 한다.

서울커뮤니티라디오(SCR)를 통해 온라인 스트리밍으로 진행되는 이번 3주년 기념 파티의 라인업은 다음과 같다.

This is my recording from Friday night Room 2, 12:30-2am, my first time being at the mythical Free Rotation. Playing one of the first sets & seeing the room, decor and the big bad subs of Room 2, years of fantastical lore and reality melded, I wanted to keep it sexy, wonky, trippy— imagining a psychic electric swamp and how one would levitate thru it... to the sky. No bpm trickery this time. Out to the heavenly bodies of the universe! ;)

The third offering in our mix series is a live recording of Priori and Cousin's dj set at Sustain Release 2024. Recorded on the last morning between 6am and 1pm on what was meant to be an ambient stage, it featured everything a 3 day festival closing set should. Eclectic picks, strange and emotional sounds, dubious transitions and a few feigned endings. Massive thanks to all the dancers, the Sustain staff (Aurora, Ash and everybody else who put their blood, sweat and tears into this), the music makers, the birds, the stars.
