The mix series and music platform Mantissa takes its first steps into the label space with Mantissa 001. Written and produced by a close friend to the Mantissa family, this unnamed and elusive artist has begun the label with a bang, three club focused, space inspired tracks designed to decimate a dancefloor or atone a night's shenanigans at an after's.
Space Cadet opens the extra-terrestrial affair, weaving from acoustic elements to electronic and eclectic synth lines. Frozen Bounce finalising the A side with a wobbly number, woven together with quick cuts and jerky elements. U10A, the most structured of a complex affair, is a warming club tool perfect for both beginning and finishing an evening. It's remix similarly suitable for any party specific scenario, produced by the infamously talented artist Ciel.

Trinidadian-Swedish techno maverick Jean-Louis Huhta is best known these days for releases on iDEAL, Fit Sound, Börft and Klasse Wrecks as Dungeon Acid, but has a long and varied musical past that touches on punk, industrial and funk as much as contemporary club music. The latest release on Organic Analogue digs back into the archives of his prolific 90s period to offer up kinked machine jams that spit and snarl with non-conformist noise, shining a light on a somewhat overlooked talent 
with his own idiosyncratic take on the techno tradition. 

The tracks that make up Wormhole Of Time comprise both unreleased cuts and some long out-of-print jams from the 90s, spanning many of Huhta’s aliases he adopted at the time. Classic tracks such as “The Art Of Peace” and “Homeworld” (released as Kozmic Niggah on Hybrid in 96) sit alongside freshly unearthed Dr Nobody tracks (he used the alias once for a timeless Svek 12” in 97). All three songs from his 2000 release Viva La Differenze! get a fresh airing here, but the reissued tracks are balanced out by plenty of exclusive material sourced from tapes and DATs. 

The release also comes with a ‘zine featuring photographs from throughout Huhta’s life in music, and an interview that sheds more light on the multifarious career he’s enjoyed to date. The artwork features a detail of a piece created by Swedish graffiti legend and long time friend of Huhta’s, NUG. From the peripherals to the sounds contained within, OA009 is the perfect early-days snapshot of an artist still consistently pushing forwards on his creative mission.

FINNEST brings us a new release, "ITS TOO LATE" by Mesquitas & Danny (AT), in its third reference, second of its "Underground Series" division, it is an original cut accompanied by a remix by the talented Philipp Lichtblau. The Original cut is an obvious example of the quality that Rafa and Danny have accustomed us to, very elegant deep house with a super sensual vocal and a subtle rhythm perfect for heating up the club floor at the beginning of the night. In the remix we have Philipp, who after having signed on labels like HedZup or Rendr presents us with a more minimalist version of It's Too Late, with a deeper bassline, a more extended dynamic and a happy groove that makes you move your foot uncontrollably and inevitably. Without a doubt, this maxi is a piece worthy of collecting.
