Thinking about the Witcher 3 and Geralt's adventure, his family story, his dears and his Ending this song makes tears in my eyes.

A Room Now Empty" - The name is completely appropriate to this part of the song. I would say even more: I feel empty inside after experience of the Witcher 3's ending. This song exactly reflects my feeling. Great masterpiece.

My father died on 16 March 2011.  His body had battled emphysema for years.  After complications caused by a bout of pneumonia he finally succumbed.  In the aftermath of these events I turned to my piano for solace and escape.  The resulting record attempts to address the emotions experienced during the 7 days between his death and funeral.  In collaboration with Ed Hamilton, who brilliantly tapped in to my experience and emotion, and with contributions from Christoph Berg, this record is about, and in memory of, my father. - Euan

Daigo Hanada - Once Heard (Algorithmics/Piano Day 2017)

‘The Birds’ are three tracks released together as the lead singles from the upcoming album, aptly named ‘Sketches’, due to its stripped down nature, is bejeweled by thematic undercurrents. 

‘Sketches’ serves to reintroduce listeners to Ackroyd’s most stunning pieces from her previous albums, all of which have been reworked into ‘acoustic’ solo piano arrangements alongside four brand new unheard pieces, which offer a taste of a new forthcoming record. The mini album sees a July release in preparation for a brand new full length album to be released in October, and One Little Indian will also reissue Ackroyd’s back catalogue on CD and vinyl alongside the new mini-album.

Feathers

Aaron Martin’s album "A Room Now Empty" sees him returning to the memory-based recordings of previous albums such as "Almond", "River Water" and "Chautauqua", where layered meanings in the music and titles don’t allow a single clear-cut reading of the music.

“A Room Now Empty is similar to the concept of Day Has Ended where Christoph Berg and I created music to encompass the passing of a day, but stretched out for the passing of a lifetime or at least a portion of a lifetime,” says Aaron.

Using cello, electric guitar, bass, roll up piano, banjo, concertina, acoustic guitar, voice, ukulele, singing bowls and lap steel, "A Room Now Empty" keeps the same intimacy and directness of Aaron’s previous albums, with a slightly more processed sound creating distance within the music.

Depth of a Glance

Albecq is the project of Angus MacRae, James Jones, and Thom Robson, three London-based experimental artists and composers. The collective was formed in late 2016 based on a love of vintage synths, unhurried free-flowing soundscapes, and the pioneering ambient expeditions of Basinski and Stars Of The Lid.
