To say that Desert Hearts has completely changed our lives would be an understatement. When we threw our first Desert Hearts party 2.5 years ago we had no idea what we were getting into. Our intimate 200 person gathering in the Mojave Desert has since turned into a cultural movement celebrating love, life, art, and community. Never in our wildest dreams did we imagine being at the forefront of something like this but here we are...

Andrea Cassino is no stranger to the Proton Music limelight. The Italian-born, artist has lit up the label with a score of production material that includes 2017's "Divine", 2020's "Losing Part of Me" and 2021 "Asante" in collaboration with Lio Q. Furthermore, remixes for Kamilo Sanclemente & Dabeat, GMJ, Michael A and Savvas have shown another side to the Argentinean-based producer's work. Now returning for the first time in over 2 years, the Andrea Cassino remix takes "Us" on a magical journey that is fuelled by a driving rhythmic backdrop and bassline gravitas with its roots firmly in the original. Thickly textured pads add to the dense aural collage and new ethereal phrases emerges alongside familiar phrasing as the striking rhythmic backdrop propels the remix forwards with incredible dancefloor prowess that blossoms in the second half with grace and poise.

This was my debut at Moon Tribe Gathering March 20, 2019 1:30am - 3am. The insane amount of rain the desert has received this year has blessed us with the most beautiful desert landscapes I have seen in California. It was an absolute honor to play my first Moon Tribe with so many wonderful and weird souls. Music brings our community together and the love we all share is what life is all about for me. This was my 3rd Mootribe FMG appearance on the decks. I was on opening duties for the December Cold Moon so I warmed up a bit and got to business with some dark techno grooves to keep the bodies moving. I had a great time as always and felt great about setting the night off. So blessed to have the opportunity to play at such a legendary event with all the Moontribers.
