Lightstar, formerly known as PVP, is a dynamic drum and bass/jungle producer and DJ based in Kelowna, BC. Hailing from the vibrant streets of Toronto, he honed his craft amidst one of the most influential and respected scenes in electronic music. Lightstar is celebrated for his powerful dub basslines that push the boundaries of contemporary drum and bass while honoring the classic breaks and textures of jungle. His music promises to take listeners on an immersive journey through sound that bridges past and present with an undeniable energy.

From mixtapes to all aged raves to buying records, since getting behind the decks in 2008, Aaron has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the genre.

With a clear appreciation for deep, heartfelt, and melodic tunes, the inevitable next step was producing. When the world paused and shows stopped, he put his whole heart into the studio, full-on, and damn is it ever evident. 

Still in the early days of his production journey, he has released with reputable labels such as Shogun, Flexout, and Dispatch to name a few. With plenty of forthcoming releases in 2025 and beyond, Aaron continues to develop his sound and carve out a place for himself in the Drum & Bass scene.
