Trying to pigeonhole this man is about as difficult as it would be to actually fit him into a pigeon sized hole. As soon as we heard his track on the amazing Scotland VA from the big dons over at Midnight Bass, it was clear that this dude was not worrying about which subgenre his music fitted into. He makes good music, plain and simple, and this is something we have always tried to champion at Mercurial. His understanding of mood, tone and energy cannot be overstated. These are all incredibly hard things to quantify, but are often what takes an artist to the next level, and OHARE seems to have them on lock. Whether it’s on Resonate, with its aggressive low-end and ethereal highs, or Rough Up, a true homage to the frenetic, choppy jungle of yesteryear, or the completely infectious Do It Like, begging you to find a dancefloor and bust some shapes, OHARE’s style and sound is instantly recognisable, and never fails to impress. We’re expecting huge things from this donny, and we’re so gassed to be bringing you his Mercurial debut!

Back for round 3 of the Foot Printz Sessions with Foot Long Records great friend and master mix curator Mark Andrew (https://soundcloud.com/markdavies).

Mark Andrew has been mixing on vinyl since the early nineties and is a keen vinyl purist, collector and aficionado of all things rave music.

Mark first got into DJing in 1991 after listening to Carl Cox and Stu Allen on Key 103 the year before and started buying records then also. He then put on his own night in Apollo Dance Club, Moreton in 1993 and has DJ`d at numerous nights over the years including Lemon Lounge, Goosebumps, Coconut & Save The Jungle to name a few. He has own weekly radio show on Trax Radio for 7 years, before that was guest most weeks on Seven Waves Radio Wirral. Mark prefers to mix on vinyl as its an adrenaline rush being on the edge of messing the mix all the time. Mark has rekindled his deep down love for jungle and hardcore music recently, after him first starting off DJing all them years ago with these genres, so he has now come full circle. Mark has also always prided himself on being a multi-genre DJ.

I would say this is just yet another great mix by Mark, but its personally up there as one of my favourites, due to multiple tracks from my up and coming 8 track EP 'Tape Pack Memories' (to be released on Foot Long Records) played on the mix !
