Multiple award winning act, Segun Obe returns with "Aka" featuring DifferentStone. This is the second single from his forthcoming album which would be his sixth studio project currently in the works.

The first single, released last year was titled "Higher Octave" and it featured Samnem.

Segun Obe had this to say about the new song: ""Aka" is a quest to do something completely different from the 'regular' Segun Obe and show versatility, basically."

Meanwhile, Segun Obe is gearing up for a tour of the United States and while there, he'll record more tracks and put finishing touches to the new album.

THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THE SONG

In recent times so many of us believers compromise our stand with God when faced with the challenges of life, temptations which we encounter in our daily decision making, knowing that no matter the pressures we need to stay true to our faith regardless.

This song was written out of a burden to keep believers globally in remembrance of our faith and the power and potency of God Almighty, knowing that everything else are variables but only God stays constant from generation to generation, He is indeed a sure foundation we can depend on, He never fails, He is true to His promises

We need to be encouraged and know that no matter what comes our way, we should not compromise our faith in God, we should choose God, over and over and over again no matter the situation we find ourselves in, we should hold on to our first love who is God almighty. 
He has promised us that he will not leave us comfortless.

HOW MY JOURNEY INTO MUSIC STARTED

I started my primary education at Holy Child College Ikoyi and had my first degree from University of Calabar in Economics, I am the last child out of six siblings, my parents were also in the choir in their early years. I grew up in the midst of music lovers and that was one of the main inspiration behind my passion. I have been in the choir since I was six years old, I have been a committed member of the choirs in Four Square Gospel church Victoria Island, Ikoyi Baptist Church, House hold of love choir to mention a few.

Music to me is like the air I breathe, I can’t live without it, and I want to use it as a vehicle to help people take a stand for Jesus irrespective of where they find themselves. I made a vow to God when I was much younger that I would serve him with my voice for the rest of my life and that is what I have been doing.

The people I look up to as my role models are Isreal Houghton, Clack Sheard Sinach, Frank Edwards to mention a few.
