With the formal release of his first EP, Break Through on Kahinga Records, that is exactly what can be expected of Sheldon Senior – four breakthrough performances of quality reggae music produced by XV Audio out of Germany. Both a gifted songwriter and the possessor of a fresh and unique voice, Sheldon brings new life to the reggae scene and beyond.
 
Opening with the serious message that Jah Love is Coming, Sheldon then demonstrates his versatility by swinging into the playfully romantic In the Mood to Dance. Next up is Wise Up (with a video soon to follow), a precautionary tale warning all to put their lives in order.  The set closes with the bubbling ode to reggae music, Mash It Up Again, proving once again that music is the medium that elevates our souls.
Says Sheldon of the EP, “These songs give the audience a window into where I wish to take them, both musically and spiritually. I am a passionately positive person.”

Africa. It is a call to rediscover the ancestral wonders of the mother land Africa, by going back
to our roots, both physically and sociologically.
 
The beat gets you from the get go; then the lyrics soon after. But beneath the urge to sing and dance there is a profound message of love and respect for ones community and history. Self-worth and social responsibility are brought into sharp focus in the lyrics  “Police brutality won’t ever stop until we get our act together and go back. So, make we start with the youth them, change can’t happen without them. Economic independence is in our hands.”
 
This is the first single off Abka Kaba’s first officially released full-length album and if this track is any indication, the album should be something quite special
