Pensée Sculpture 3. Ancient technology - Technologie ancienne

‘Close your eyes. From the darkness, a transparent circular prism appears in the distance, with its soft outlines refracting all colours from the spectrum. As you gently glide closer, you notice an unfamiliar world through the other side of the prism, this is the portal to your thought sculpture (Pensée Sculpture) number 3.

‘You have passed through the prism into an unknown world, and find yourself gliding through an underground passage with pearl white lattice honeycomb walls, which shimmer with refracted light when you divert your glaze suddenly. You come to a halt in an oval shaped chamber with a metal sculpture in the centre, there is a faint vibrating sound which seems to be coming from the honeycomb walls. You move closer to the object and notice that it is made from an unfamiliar alloy which looks like a crystalline metal draped in a copper coloured moss. You step backwards from the object to view it from a more distant perspective.
It is a 3 dimensional word written in an unfamiliar language. Your body rushes with a warm rush, and you are certain that this is both ancient and some form of advanced technology.’
