In 2021, GRAMMY-nominated dance trio Above & Beyond celebrate the 10th anniversary of their critically-acclaimed second studio album, ‘Group Therapy.’ To mark the occasion, an eclectic selection of acts have taken on the challenge of remixing ten iconic tracks from the 2011 album. This cross-genre remix compilation includes an energetic trance rework from ilan Bluestone, a breakbeat remix from Anjunadeep favorite CRi, and stunning house and techno reworks from Kasablanca and Manila Killa who join the Anjunafamily for the first time. Also included on the compilation are two fan-favourite remixes released in 2021 from Oliver Heldens and Spencer Brown, as well as melodic house selections from the likes of Braxton, Shai T, Khen, and Newman (I Love), all lifted from the recent Beatport #1 compilation, '20 Years of Anjunabeats: The Deep Mixes’.

Alongside this digital remix album, Anjunabeats is releasing a limited-edition ’10 Years of Group Therapy: The Singles Collection’ vinyl box set, which sees six iconic singles from the album released on vinyl for the first time: ‘Sun & Moon’ feat. Richard Bedford, ’Thing Called Love’ feat. Richard Bedford, ‘Love Is Not Enough’ feat. Zoë Johnston, ‘On My Way To Heaven’ feat. Richard Bedford, ‘Sun In Your Eyes,’ and ‘Prelude’ are included in the box, alongside B-side remixes from ilan Bluestone, Oliver Heldens, Hybrid Minds, Seven Lions, and GRAMMY award-winning producer William Orbit. The vinyl box set also includes a special ‘10 Years of Group Therapy’ slipmat as well as 12”x12” matte-finish prints of each single artwork. This box set is a limited, hand-numbered edition and is expected to ship in summer of 2022. Pre-orders are available now at the Anjuna Music Store. Above & Beyond share their Deep Mix of ‘Almost Home,’ their most recent single and first joint effort in over four years with long-time collaborator Justine Suissa.

‘Almost Home’ was Above & Beyond’s first club track of 2021, arriving just in time for their Group Therapy 450 milestone show at The Drumsheds London in early September. The trio premiered their deep mix of ‘Almost Home’ in their warm up set for Group Therapy 450, recorded in Hackney Canal, London. Group Therapy 450 was Above & Beyond's first headline show in over a year, with the band performing to 10,000 fans in person, plus tens of thousands more online. Both sets have been uploaded to YouTube, racking up nearly a million views in less than a month. 

Jono, Tony, Paavo and Justine have been working together since 2000 when they formed the group OceanLab. In 2008, they released their first and only album ‘Sirens Of The Sea’,a record that has gained near-mythical status among trance fans. More recently, Above & Beyond and Justine have collaborated on club hits like ‘Alright Now’, ‘Cold Feet’ and ‘Another Chance’, and emotive, downtempo records like ‘Little Something’. In 2016, Justine joined Above & Beyond during their sell-out ‘Acoustic II’ tour, which stopped at iconic venues like the Royal Albert Hall in London and The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. 

The Original Mix of ‘Almost Home’ has been on frequent rotation across SiriusXM BPM and iHeart Evolution, and has been supported by the likes of The Chainsmokers, Armin van Buuren, and Oliver Heldens.

Anton Sonin, aka SØNIN, returns to Anjunabeats with ‘Cry’. 

Anton is a DJ and producer from Finland. He honed his craft in a studio space in Helsinki, shared with compatriots Super8 & Tab, Yotto and Supermodels From Paris. 

Anton worked with Super8 & Tab on their iconic Anjunabeats single ‘Black Is The New Yellow’ from 2010, and collaborated with Yotto on ‘Hear Me Out’ and ‘Nothing Like You’.

‘Cry’ is Anton’s third solo release on the label in 2021. He’s also contributed to ‘Koski’ from gardenstate’s album ‘Inspirations’, and provided a remix of Super8 & Tab’s ‘Mercy’ as part of the ten-year anniversary celebrations for their iconic ‘Empire’ LP.

Anjunabeats presents the deluxe edition of Trance Wax’s acclaimed self-titled album, out now.

Trance Wax is an alias of Belfast-born producer Garry McCartney, also known as Ejeca. Celebrating the music he fell in love with as a teenager, his Trance Wax project began as an anonymous series of vinyl-only bootlegs back in 2015. Garry’s lovingly crafted edits of classics from Yves Deyurter, BT and Mauro Picotto became peak-time anthems for Bicep, Nina Kraviz, Denis Sulta, The Blessed Madonna and Job Jobse to name a few. A BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix followed soon after. 

Two Trance Wax edits of Above & Beyond’s much-loved OceanLab project were released on Anjunabeats in 2019, with the debut artist album following in November of 2020. ‘Trance Wax’ featured 14 original Trance Wax productions and received glowing reviews from Resident Advisor, DJ Mag and LA Weekly, plus regular support on BBC Radio 1’s flagship dance shows.

Damion ‘Damo’ Houchen, aka Genix, unveils the first remix from his debut artist album ‘199X’, courtesy of London duo My Friend.

My Friend burst onto the scene in 2018. Their previous appearance on Anjunabeats was a memorable one: ‘January Embers / Highland’ was released in September 2018, with Oliver Smith remixing the former for Anjunabeats Worldwide 08. Elsewhere, they’ve landed music on Anjunadeep, Stress Records, Fly Boy Records and Danny Howard’s Nothing Else Matters imprint. Their remix of ‘All I Want’ deftly blends deep house and UKG influences.

A love letter to rave culture, ‘199X’ is a departure from the sound that Damo is best known for. Through the late 2000s and 2010s, he caught the ear of Armin van Buuren and Paul van Dyk with his textured, melodic take on trance. He secured releases on both Armada and Vandit. 

Genix arrived on Anjunabeats in 2010 and immediately became a mainstay in Above & Beyond’s sets with tracks like ‘Aura’, ‘Destinations’ and ‘Black Water’ (the latter written with regular touring partner Sunny Lax).

‘199X’ dropped on the label in September 2021. Since the album’s release, Genix has taken ‘199X’ to Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 450 celebrations at The Drumsheds London, and to the USA and UK for the first leg of his world tour.

Mario Egeto, aka Myon, has been in our orbit for many years. In the summer of 2013, Above & Beyond performed some of their best-loved songs acoustically as part of a 15-piece band, across four sold out shows at London's famous Porchester Hall which formed the basis of the "Above & Beyond Acoustic" studio album. The album was recorded in the spring and summer of 2013 and features a 24-piece orchestra. 

"The acoustic project is a reconnection with the musicians that we were before we met", said Above & Beyond's Tony McGuinness. "The songs have been on an interesting journey to get here because we tend to write in a fairly acoustic way anyway. We don't just stick a bit of vocal over a dance track - that's not how we work. We try to start with a song and it's usually only later down the line that we take certain elements from that song and progress them into a more dancefloor-friendly version".

With Above & Beyond "Acoustic", the group are putting aside their CDJs and lighting rigs to showcase their deeply-rooted musicianship and classical training. A band first and foremost, Above & Beyond are songwriters as much as they are DJs. Working with three singers, a string quartet, harpist, drummer and bassist, Above & Beyond are pushing the boundaries of dance music. Tony McGuinness sings and plays guitar, mandolin and ukulele, Paavo Siljamäki plays the grand piano and cello, and Jono Grant plays the Rhodes piano, guitar and vibraphone.

Nordic dance duo anamē and Danish singer-songwriter Lydmor collaborate on ‘Peaceful Avenues’, out now on Anjunabeats. 

The collaborative work of Marcus Schössow and Thomas Sagstad reached its latest apex last year with their debut album ‘Beautiful World’, a record that the pair have envisioned since first meeting over two decades ago. “Jason has been creating dance music since he was a teenager. 'Elements', Jason's 2015 single on Anjunabeats, was a strong debut, but it was his collaboration with Wrechiski, 'Atlas', that really got people talking. 
The first night we met Jason was at Madison Square Garden, just after we'd played three of his records to the world (including 'Atlas'). He was a charming fellow and he's been on fire ever since, dropping singles like 'Cairo', 'Me Tonight' and 'Valor'. Jason's tunes always have a place in our sets.

In 2017, Jason's first collaboration with Seven Lions, 'Higher Love' feat. Paul Meany, signalled the start of a bold, new chapter for Jason's sound. Their back-to-back set at Group Therapy 250 sealed the deal: Jason is now a regular fixture on Seven Lions' Ophelia imprint. 

No matter what style he’s turning his attention to, his productions are always energetic, ambitious and polished.

"I found Anjunabeats in a rather unique way. I heard ATB's '9PM (Till I come)' at a young age, and from there I was always on a mission to find songs that hit my heart that same way. It wasn't until High School that a friend of mine showed me this radio show, Trance Around The World. Every song I heard took my breath away. It was at that moment that I knew I had found my home.

I had been producing electronic music since I was 12. I really honed in on trance and Anjunabeats during my time in college, and that's when I was picked up by Above & Beyond. The next thing I remember, I'm in the stands in Madison Square Garden and they're playing 3 of my tracks in front of thousands of people. That's where it all began for me.

Anjunabeats has been home to me ever since then, and the fans and artists are truly what make it a special place. Stars of the drum and bass scene, Hybrid Minds are Josh White and Matt Lowe.
