And here we have a Coldplay Cover/ crack!song, because Moriarty's cool like that. For some reason I'm not really satisfied with the outcome...

Thanks a lot to Emeline, who came up with this in the first place, it's a rather perfect idea! When I suddenly found an ask saying 'you need to do a coldplay/moriarty cover where it's 'I will try to skin you' instead of 'fix you'" there was absolutely no possible way I could've said no, so I changed the rest of the lyrics as well (though most of it turned out to be pretty fitting already ;) and then recorded the thing today.

Also, the cover really reads 'moriarty', check out this site. And I should probably mention that I used this instrumental.

A little awkward because I originally wrote most of the verses for a Sherlock/John song but I got bored and frustrated halfway through and wrote a Jim/Sebastian chorus and then slapped both together, come at me bro.

Now some lyrics are still very John-esque and nothing Sebastian would actually say because I think he is genuinely unimpressed by everything Jim does and doesn't give a fuck.


Also 'let's misbehave' like the Cole Porter song because I have this mental image of Jim and Sebastian dancing foxtrot to Let's Misbehave.

So this song is actually from my fourth compilation, "A Bit Not Good," which I quickly wrote and recorded last night for Valentine's Day, because, well, Reichenbach feelings, okay? If my best friend in the world had died I'd be thinking about them today, too.

This song is about dark!John, a thing which probably originated in the pool scene where they let us think that John's the evil one for a fraction of a second before it is revealed that Moriarty kidnapped him. Frauke knows about this better than I do ... I really just provided melody and chords and stuff this time. 
Go ahead, re-watch Sherlock and imagine John being evil the whole time and just playing games with Sherlock. It's twisted fun.

A little song that makes me happy. This was so much fun to write. I love bees.

I didn't have a specific Holmes in mind when writing this though it's strongly influenced by both BBC!Sherlock and JLM!Holmes (there will be a proper Elementary song soon I promise!).

Also apparently I can't decide how I want to pronounce Lestrade. In this song I'm switching between the way they pronounce it in Sherlock and the way I'm used to pronouncing it since forever.

I think what I find very intriguing about BBC!Sherlock is that he genuinely scares me. Like really scares me. I don't think I've ever felt that way about any other Holmes who are usually sweet and less psychopathic if you know what I mean . If it wasn't for Andrew Scott's brilliant Moriarty I would be almost disappointed they didn't pull off the whole Holmes is Moriarty deal. 

Basically this is just an excuse to do something with a metallophone.
