[Deltarune Chapter 3] Our Destiny

This is the beginning of the archive. 

Integrity was and still is a project I hold near and dear to my heart. It was far from perfect, but it enabled the growth of so many friends' talents, and strengthened the bond between me and quite a few people. I'll be using these uploads to share some of the work we did together, even if not everything sees the public eye.

The background was a placeholder; it was to be sprited and animated in the final demo version. An average UT menu theme didn't seem like it would suit this style, so I had Drop0ff create a song similar to the Deltarune menu theme. This is honestly still one of my favorite tracks he's ever done, and one of my favorites from this soundtrack. I still listen to it a lot to reminisce.

Once I have a more expansive plot synopsis for these AUs individually I will put them here (and in future tracks' descriptions), but for now this will have to do.

Sans is a wise hermit living in Waterfall. The ancient legends speak of a chosen warrior who will embody the forces of all that is good. Sans seems to have special knowledge of this prophecy, and has been chosen as the Judge who will put all aspiring warriors to the test. For days on end he waits atop his mountain, telling challengers that they aren't worthy. Will Oliver be the one to change that?

Part of Sans' very rigorous screening process involves him testing potential warriors on various skills. Most of the tests... are focused on one's inner peace. Some might say he's being lazy, but nobody dares question his methods.

HUMANS AND MONSTERS RULED OVER THE LANDSCAPE.
IT WAS AN UNSTABLE PEACE, BUT A PEACE NONETHELESS.
UNTIL ONE DAY, WAR BROKE OUT AND MONSTERS WERE SEALED UNDERGROUND.
…AGES LATER.
ON A BEAUTIFUL DAY, 
A FORETOLD YET UNTIMELY EVENT OCCURED. 
THE SKY RAN BLACK IN TERROR.
AND THE GROUND CRACKED IN FEAR.
THEN...HER HEART POUNDING,
MOTHER EARTH DREW HER FINAL BREATH.

THE WORLD WAS REBORN.
HUMANS WERE BROUGHT TO THE ENLIGHTENMENT BY A HIGHER FORCE.
AS THE RACE OF MAN WAS NO MORE.
..AN ERA OF SPIRITS BEGAN.
GHOSTS OF MEN BROUGHT PEACE TO THE PURIFIED WORLD.
THE WORLD HAD BECAME HEAVEN.

YET...THE MONSTERS REMAINED TRAPPED, UNAWARE OF REBIRTH.
THE MAGIC SPELL THE HUMANS USED SO LONG AGO TO TRAP THEM...
...PROTECTED THEM FROM GOD'S RECKONING.
HOWEVER, A PROPHECY CLAIMS THAT MONSTERS WILL BE FREED
AND WILL BE ALSO BLESSED WITH THE NEW WORLD...
ONE GHOST WILL BE RESURRECTED AND REFORMED INTO A HUMAN TO DO SO.
THEY WILL BE GIVEN THE POWER OF GODS TO MAKE SURE THIS TASK IS ACCOMPLISHED.


ONLY FATE WILL DECIDE BOTH MONSTERKIND AND GHOSTKIND’S FATE.
AND THIS IS WHEN OUR TALE BEGINS.

Walking Around ist ein Downtempo-Track zwischen Erinnerung und Aufbruch. Eine minimalistische Piano-Figur eröffnet den Raum und bleibt als roter Faden über den gesamten Track präsent. Sie wirkt wie ein innerer Monolog – ruhig, beobachtend, in Bewegung. Dezente, zurückhaltende Drums markieren ein achtsames Gehen, Schritt für Schritt, getragen von einer markanten und konstanten Bassfigur, die dem Stück Stabilität und Richtung verleiht. Walking Around ist Musik für langsame Wege, frühe Stunden und Gedanken, die sich sortieren, während man weitergeht.
