Like stepping into a warm electronic sound bath, Chaim’s latest release for Visionquest ripples with pulsing sonic textures and propels forward at a softly galvanic pace as the slowly emerging melody takes hold in ‘Underwater’. B side ‘Remember When’ is just as compelling - a slightly tougher edge and darkly euphoric atmosphere injected with sporadic chimes, disembodied voices and dramatic synth stabs. This is a truly hypnotising release.

Now being based in the hub of electronic talent that is Berlin, Chaim is still a true stand out artist in today's fast paced digital world. After a wave of stunning releases on labels such as Supplement Facts, Cocoon and MBF, for a time Chaim worked exclusively with the Berlin based BPitch Control imprint. His acclaimed debut album 'Alive' released spring 2011 on the label and this season his monster Ibiza anthem ‘Blue Shadow’ (on Rumors), has proven his powerful, individual productions to be some of the highest quality club tracks around.

Fusing solid bass heavy grooves, clearly inspired by his love for those classic jacking Chicago jams, hypnotic synth hooks, trademark affected percussion, live instrumentation and vocal snippets, Chaim's unique and organic sound always makes an impact. Underpinned by top-class studio knowhow, his crisp, forward thinking records are a joy to drop in front of even the biggest crowds.

A heavy DJ touring schedule has seen the enigmatic Israeli grace the DJ booths of Fabric and Panorama Bar to name a few, and his work with the BPitch crew has highlighted him as an exciting figure amongst the current electronic scene. Visionquest is proud to welcome Chaim to the fold.

In its premiere release, Aethereal Records promises masterful works of aural delight from the opening beat of its very first track, brought to you by sought after progressive savants from around the globe. In this release, the Greek phenom Stergios starts the label off in a big way with an artfully deep yet uplifting melodic track, Katharsis. Stergios features a plethora of keyed synths that dance around a sighing vocal pad all the while playfully bantering with an old school progressive bass line. Feri takes the original synthesizer and dangles it tauntingly by a crisp hat line over an ominous bass, using the percussion to reach out and grab the listener. In his remix, John Cosani uses subtle tweaks to the original pad sequence to further deepen the track, bringing its dark side to light with a throbbing, heart pounding progressive trance bass line. Rogier & Stage Van H deliver the airy melodic sound that listeners have come to love, using gusting white noise rises throughout the track to blow the listener into an island of tropical sounding synthesizers topped with an almost housey bass.

Returning for its eighth outing, Meanwhile co-owner, Matter, makes his solo debut for the label via the unique musical triptych of "Amanita".

From his Melbourne home, Matty Doyle has generated a tsunami of success through his Matter production moniker. Able to point to a release portfolio with over 400 production credits to his name, such esteemed imprints as Balance, Anjunadeep, BeatFreak Recordings and Proton Music have all played host to his much sought-after music.

Now creating a new narrative for his unrivalled talents within his co-owned Meanwhile label alongside fellow countryman, GMJ, "Amanita" is redolent in trademark production features that have seen Matter in such high demand. A smooth blend of rolling percussive groove, heavy beat and cavernous bassline propel the track forward with unrelenting pace as a filtered arpeggio adds to the aural melange. A glorious synth lead enters the fray at the mid-point breakdown before a rousing wall of sound marks a club-friendly zenith before the track builds once more with its star-studded cast of musical characters.

The heavy beat and wite-noise washes of "Hikikomori" provide a weighty anchor, allowing an immaculately programmed bassline groove to weave its path between four-to-the-floor rhythm and offbeat hi-hat shuffle. A heavily delayed synth line adds a touch of class as it ripples across the seven-minute piece with ease, providing subtle introspection and emotive layers in abundance. The result is a head-shaking groover that is sure to the take dancefloors by storm into 2021.

A pulsating, running bassline immediately characterises "Wormhole" as it dynamically develops courtesy of an intelligently placed melodic variation that provokes a spine-tingling emotion in the listener. An array of percussive shakers and chest-thumping kick create a spellbinding sonic palette, while a free-flowing synth line drenched in reverb and delay adds to the emotion playing off the filtered and now staccato bassline phrase. Creating a flawlessly executed progressive house anthem, Matter has once again demonstrated why his production work draws such high praise from fans and peers alike.

A career that continues to mushroom at impressive pace, "Amanita" exhibits all the qualities that finds Matter very much flavour of month.
