This is the first two hours of a live recording of my closing set at Moontribe Full Moon Gathering in April 2022. It was warm, but winds were sustained at 32mph with gusts even stronger, making DJing a serious challenge. Towards the end of my set, I had to keep one finger on my laptop since the wind was scooting it across the table towards me, leaving only my thumb to crossfade. Good times!

This opening set from Tropical resident Dj Maggie set the table for an amazing 18-hour musical experience into 2024!  

Set in a spectacular LA hilltop estate with sweeping views of the city and midnight fireworks, we danced our way into 2024 in style, and this was the set that started it all, enjoy!

There’s a feeling that clings to this place. It’s the feeling of almost being known, of being caught between two moments. Of standing at the edge of a memory that’s not quite yours but might’ve been. The kind of place you can leave and never tell anyone about—because when you’re there, it feels like it was never meant for anyone else. 

The ones who know the world can be a little too loud, a little too bright, so they seek out the corners of it that have forgotten the rules. A place where you can just be, even if that means nothing at all.

This collection of atmospheric deepstep tracks is further along on the continuum of the Subtextures compilation that I put together for Interchill Records back in 2016. It took a few years to assemble and was made for the digital artist Android Jones (www.androidjones.com) who generously let us use a piece of his phenomenal art for the Subtextures cover design. 

Respect and praises to all of the artists and labels who put out such wickedly chill tunes. Much gratitude to J. Job for the finishing touches.
