Kenneth Bager’s next project, titled Silence Was Singing, is an electronic pop-collaboration with british singer-songwriter Findlay Brown. The artists here present the second single, ‘Red Flowers’, released April 26 on Kenneth Bager’s own label Music For Dreams.

‘Red Flowers’ is a dub-inspired electronic pop track festooned with shimmering disco synths (Nikolaj Torp) and billowing trumpet hooks (Kasper Tranberg).

Bager says:
“The track came about a cold winter day in a studio in Østerbro (Copenhagen). Anders Ponsaing (producer) and I had come up with a demo but it was missing something. We liked the idea of a trumpet and called up the incredible trumpetist Kasper Tranberg. When we heard the melodies and the sound of his trumpet on the track, everything suddenly clicked together.
The keyboards are recorded in London by Nikolaj Torp, along with the bass, played by Colin Parkinson. The vocal, of course, is sung by Findlay Brown, and recorded on the Danish island of Møn. 

Silence Was Singing, which will drop in January 2025 via Music For Dreams, adds one more bud to Kenneth Bager’s already flowery oeuvre. Beginning with the trailblazing house and techno-recordings of the early 90’s under the moniker Dr. Baker, shifting form to the jazz-pop pixie world of his ‘fragments’-projects, and later unfolding in the big-room electronic pop of Follow The Beat. More recently, Bager has released the film-music project East of North (2023) and the club album Late Night Symphonies (2022).

Mr Toé is a DJ, producer and musical researcher. He began his journey in Chile and has progressed up a road of Latin American sound, culture and experience all the way to Colombia where he has now taken root. Based today in the providence of Chocó, he brings us a smooth and harmonious mixtape, crossed by marks of the downtempo and rainy moments of Deep House. It’s an organic and jungle-like hybrid sound with a smooth progression like a monkey swaying through the vines. 

For more than an hour this explorer’s beats take us on an excursion. We’ll traverse through a mixtape that goes into the humid jungle, with juicy and organic sounds that grow and flirt with cumbia and even ancestral songs, voices that speak the language of the earth. In the world of Mr Toé, heritage is key, and his indigenous, African and Spanish music achieves a harmonious symbiosis which Latin American can call its own. 


Mr Toé es dj, productor e investigador musical, comenzó su viaje en Chile y ha ido avanzando por la ruta del sonido, la cultura y la experiencia Latinoamericana hasta llegar a Colombia donde ha echado raíces. Hoy instalado en la provincia del Chocó, nos trae un mixtape armónico y suave, atravesado por vertientes de downtempo y lluviosos momentos Deep House. Un mestizaje sonoro orgánico y selvático, con una progresión suave como la del mono que avanza meciéndose entre las lianas.

Durante más de una hora este explorador sonoro nos llevará de excursión. Pasearemos por un mixtape que atraviesa la húmeda jungla, con sonidos acuosos y orgánicos, para ir en crescendo hasta coquetear con la cumbia e incluso incluir cantos ancestrales, voces que hablan el lenguaje de la tierra. En el mundo de Mr. Toé la herencia es pieza clave y en su música lo indígena, lo africano y lo español logran una simbiosis armónica propia de nuestra América latina.

Just as Xivi, Raru is the hindu demon followed by a tiger that also tries to voraciously swallow the stars, causing the eclipses. Like these, countless ancestral myths around the world explain this phenomenon; for the Pomo people there is a fight between the Bear and the Sun, and for the Tlingit it is the moment of stealthy darkness for the Moon and the Sun to love each other.

Desert Sound Colony - Lose My Rhythm (STW Premiere)

The EP includes four tracks. “Ossaim” is an encounter with the God of the forests and the flowers. In this piece of jungle-sound the duo invites us to embark in the woods, the ritual has begun. In the sequence appears “Sarvará”, an edit of a track of the very-very Brazilian ProjetoMujique; of this bridge Brazil-Portugal appears this second track, an electronic ode to Oxalá. “Ovoavoa” is an invitation to the liberation and celebration of life and love. An invitation to smile and dance freely. “Urubu Violeta” finishes the thematic clipping. It is a “musical illustration” of an original poem by actor Rui Queirós de Matos aka Spike that gives voice to the more futuristic composition of the EP. With an organic feel that is the result of an exciting layering, the Portuguese newcomers deliver a cosmic, fresh, unique and emotionally rich production of intentions.

“O Futuro do Passado” is a vivid introduction to the thematic clipping explored by Maria and Luís. With a down tempo ethnic's scene still embryonic Portugal seems to contribute strongly to the artistic extrapolation of the duo. An infinity of perspectives and colours, together with a powerful groove feeling make this project a unique sound experience. With the incessant search for ways of expressing themselves through popular music, Ohxalá delivers in such a different way a sound package that make us reflect on the past and look to the future without fear.

Cosmovision presents ¨Animals of the Earth ¨

The human race has lived and shared this space we call Earth with the animal kingdom for millions of years but today, most cultures have abandoned the idea that humans are animals like the others. Our modern societies have been treating Mother Earth as if it was their property, extracting resources, polluting constantly, changing the landscape, killing the other animals we and destroying its natural balance.

Since the Industrial Revolution, humanity has killed 83% of all wild mammals and half of all plants of the Earth. Two hundred species of living beings are going extinct every single day. We collectively need to change so many things in areas such as the use of plastic, meat consumption, contaminating energies, day to day overconsumption and more. How can artists raise awareness regarding this?

Thinking on how to be simple but at the same time Universal, Cosmovision Records presents ¨Animals of the Earth¨. For this project we have gathered to co-create an ecosystem that lives in a music album. Producers from many places on Earth explored their connections with our animal cousins, remembering that the condor, the rabbit, the deer, the frog and all the others are our partners in the long trip that this green and lively planet takes in the Universe.

We invite you to come with us on this journey through the musical ecosystem of the ¨Animals of the Earth¨ to discover, respect and care for these beautiful beings that live with us.
