For my next ODE2 series mix I wanted to get not just a label, but a specific artist as well. ILogik was the perfect candidate, with his massive catalog of tracks and the awesome Elasticman records, it's easy to see why he and his label were so big back in the early 2000's in the hard dance scene. Although his label had releases from huge artists like Carl Nicholson and Paul Glazby, I have dedicated this mix to ILogik himself, so every track has had his input in creating it.

In 2001 I created my alias Aeon to release this song - because my label Tunnel Records wasn't interested in releasing it as Accuface (because at the same time I released "Let your Mind fly" on Sony Music). And having Tunnel Records rejecting it was the best thing that could happen: so I released it on Pias Recordings and it became one of my most successful records. It was massively supported by Paul van Dyk, Talla 2XLC, Blank & Jones and many others around the globe... and also "Radio Sunshine Live" was playing it on high rotation every day...good old days! :)

The production was at a time when electronic music was still created on "real machines" without audio programs (like Fruity Loops") and  virtual instruments like "Nexus" or "Sylenth" that are so easy to use today. 13 synths, drum machines and samplers were running at the same time in my studio. Some of them multitimbral. 32 mixer channels were used. Even the bassline consists of three different synths playing complementary. Finishing the whole production of this "Bombastic Remix" took me about three months - due to my perfectionism. ;)

The first release of "Let your Mind fly  first released was on Tunnel Trance Force Vol. 15 that came out November 2000. It had been re-released with remixes in 2001 by Sony Music/Dance Division under the name "Tunnel Allstars pres. Accuface" (for promoting the name "Tunnel"...). This is the original version from TTF Vol. 15 in full length and remastered.

Let Your Mind Fly (Remastered Original Tunnel Trance Force Vol. 15 Mix)

On July, 24th 2010, a terrible disaster happened at the Love Parade in Duisburg (Germany), which will stay in the minds of the electronic music scene and other people worldwide. Mostly affected are the victims, injured and related persons of the accident though.
Each one handles what happened differently. The Bremen based Hardtrance producer Marlon Juers, better known as Accuface, decided to handle the disaster in a musical way.
Both griefs for the involved people and anger at the ones responsible for this incident influenced Accuface during his production.
“The Disaster (Grief and Anger)” was also placed on the “Tunnel Trance Force Vol. 54”. Now, the song will be additionally released in a special remixed and extended full version as a free download! This free download is a call, not to forget what happened in Duisburg and to help the involved people. Since in case of a usual benefit-song often not all of the income reaches the victims – Accuface would like to support a direct donation – and says thanks with this free song.
Especially for this matter, the DRK (Deutsches Rotes Kreuz) opened a donation account at Sparkasse Duisburg with following details (Bank: Sparkasse Duisburg, IBAN: DE20 3505 0000 0200 2042 04, SWIFT: DUISDE33XXX, Reference: Loveparade).
Hoping, that such a disaster will never happen again, Accuface thanks everyone for each contribution for supporting the victims and involved people. Even though this tragic event mostly disappeared from the media there are still people that suffer from that disaster – and we should not forget!
