About the mix..

"My last studio mix was for Resident Advisor in January and I feel like I might’ve gone a bit hard on that one and focused on tricks over tracks. This time I decided to keep it real simple. I went to a friend’s with a bag of 40 records and a few tracks on a USB and recorded it in an afternoon (then nudged some volumes in Ableton). It’s all quite trancey but in a lighter sense of the word. That beautiful time when house, trance and whatever else all seemed to cross over for a brief moment. It’s a bit lighter than what I usually get to play in the club. There are some new ones from myself and a couple of pretty hard to find tracks that will be out on a new re-issue label I’m starting this fall. Fuck the sharks."

A beautiful debut from Parisien duo Mt. Rave on France's Slowciety backed by strong remixes from Map.ache, Opal Sunn and Marlon Hoffstadt. 'Temple III' is a meandering slow burner of a track slowly crafting the world and atmosphere it inhabits. Taking nearly 3 minutes before dropping into its main section of relaxing glacial synth droplets and pulsing chords. We're excited to hear more from them.

The boys of Radial Gaze, a spicy electronic project based in St. Petersburg, Russia, make their debut on the outstanding label ESTHÉTIQUE RECORDS. Their sonority flirts with live percussions and native vocals, and the result is a colourful and enticing combination of their different and mutual influences.

"We tried to convey the complexity of the soundscape that surrounds us every day but made it so simple that you can catch this scale looking at the sun in the neck of an empty bottle", said the lads themselves to describe "Sui Generis Nomen", the track we chose to premiere, whose main characteristic is the large infusion of oriental elements.

The thumping atmosphere the tune inflicts through its lively percussion and shamanic aura is probably going to take you to hidden places in your mind. The trip established by the trance mood tends to be agitated, though. It will be hard merely to close your eyes and enjoy the tour, because "Sui Generis Nomen" is not intended to create this kind of reaction. Its goal is to make you reach a level of reverie that is only achieved through dancing and sweating hard.

Roll up, roll up! We are delighted to welcome a producer and disc jockey with absolutely impeccable taste. Eddie C has been a prominent figure amidst the house, disco, balearic crossover community for a long time now and has released an impressive array of music across a wide spectrum of record labels including Lumberjacks In Hell, The Very Polish Cut-Outs, 7 Inches Of Love and more. However, he has most prominently appeared on the mule musiq affiliated record label Endless Flight where he has released many albums and EP's.

Eddie's style is sprawling and wild - tapping into an era and ethos of tape mixes and hip hop as much as it does dance and club focussed music. As such the albums draw upon playful samples, skits and intricate funk fuelled percussion aplenty. His new album is called "Green Space" and doesn't fail to disappoint. It offers as much in the home listening department as it does for the late night dancefloor. 

This mix was recorded in Japan, at the 'Good Music Party presents Rainbow Disco Club' party. It's absolute heat.

Berlin-based artist Per Hammar touches down on London's Planetary Notions imprint to supply his cosmic and bubbling house roller 'Short Waves' to the label's lates various artists EP 'PN006'. 

For the past decade, Per Hammar's been a reliable source for entrancing stripped-back dancefloor material. Now his latest offering proves he's never short of delivering pure magic, as 'Short Waves' "transports the listener into outer space with its square bass-line, cosmic tones and intricate pad work."

Elsewhere on 'PN006', Worker Union and Walker also supply mesmerizing minimal dub house grooves.
