Ruby Amanfu is an American recording artist based in Nashville. Amanfu has released seven studio albums and multiple singles. She is known for being one half of the duo Sam & Ruby, whose album was named Associated Press Album of the Year in 2009. Amanfu is also known for her collaborations with Jack White in his all-female band, The Peacocks, and has widely appeared on his critically acclaimed solo albums, Blunderbuss and Lazaretto. In 2020 and 2022, Amanfu was nominated for the Grammy Award for Song of the Year for co-writing "Hard Place" by H.E.R. and "A Beautiful Noise" by Alicia Keys and Brandi Carlile, and was nominated for a Soul Train Music Award for The Ashford & Simpson Songwriter's Award.

Gortoz a ran (« J'attends ») est un chant poétique écrit et interprété par le chanteur breton Denez Prigent, issu de son troisième album studio Irvi, paru en 2000. Sorti en single, le chant en breton, enregistré en duo avec Lisa Gerrard, séduit un large public. En 2001, Gortoz a Ran est intégrée dans la bande originale du film américain La Chute du faucon noir de Ridley Scott, en 2012 dans le film Les Seigneurs d'Olivier Dahan, en 2016 dans la série américaine South Park et en 2020 dans la série américaine Hawaï 5.0.

Leftfield is a British electronic music group formed in 1989 in London, England. The group initially consisted of Paul Daley and Neil Barnes, before Daley left in 2002, leading to the group's dissolution, and then his return with Barnes as the sole leader in 2010.


They were among the first to fuse house with dub and reggae, thus giving birth to progressive house. They were pioneers in integrating vocals into electronic music.


In 1995, their album Leftism managed to reach the third place in the UK sales chart. In 1999, the album Rhythm And Stealth reached the top of the English charts.
