YUMA are a foot stompin' blues pop duo from the North East of England. Comprising of local musicians Shannon Pearl and John Timney, YUMA have performed at hundreds of venues across the region & country in their 6 years of being a band.
Looking forward to expanding their reach and playing festivals in the summer, the duo are currently in the process of writing their third EP.
The pair also do their fair share of charity work too, organising gigs in aid of good causes when they can under the umbrella 'YUMA Presents'.

Kate Agerskow is a singer-songwriter from Hull, UK. With influences including Tori Amos, Joni Mitchell, Regina Spektor and Elbow, Kate writes melodic piano-based songs with lyrics that explore themes such as love, travel, and sanctuary. Kate's first EP, 'Saltlines', was released on 22nd November 2024. Her new single 'Winter Hymn' is out 18th July.

Formed in a dank basement in Newcastle at the end of 2011, parastatic was the coming together of long time collaborators Neil Caffery and Jon Garrard with electronica maestro Rich Telford.  The combination of their various musical heritage resulted in their debut album in 2012 Lost Highway, which nodded towards krautrock and early 80′s synth-pop and drew critical praise in the UK and beyond with Mark Radcliffe proclaiming them “Prog on the Tyne”.

The band toured the album until mid 2013 when Rich left the group to devote more time to his new-born.  Neil took on synth duties and the band fortuitously recruited multi-instrumentalist Rachel Casey on live drums – taking the band’s sound into a more direct, propulsive dimension.

2014 saw parastatic complete their second full length – Recall Fade Return, due to be released on March 9th 2015 on 104 Records.  This record is less indebted to straight up krautrock and hints at more complex influences locating the band on an oscillating line between kosmische, shoegaze and post-rock.

Over the last couple of years parastatic have played across the UK alongside some of their favourite artists – Damo Suzuki, Moon Duo, Warm Digits, Eat Lights;Become Lights, The Early Years, Baltic Fleet and many more.


The forthcoming album ‘Recall / Fade / Return’ looks likely to build on the critical acclaim received for the band’s debut record – ‘Lost Highway’.

Thanks for stopping by.  This soundcloud is mostly the music and words of Liz Armour sometimes with guest collaborators.  There's been a break since around 2018, but prior to that I was going back and back to one genre - generally those tagged "experimental" these often feature  the spoken word - mostly as poetry, sometimes as prose (Proto Guitar Man) and sometimes embedded into the music as a kind of sonic effect.    I hope you like them.
