Acutek is a Techno Artist from the rural highlands of Scotland. An ambassador for Scottish nightlife, the ‘Flick’ frontman has been championed for his contribution to the scene in his hometown and further afield.

With over a decade of musical experience, Acutek’s palate can be described as ethereal Techno with rough edges. Citing inspiration from Slam, Petrichor, Frai.zer, Pan-Pot and more, atmospheric spaces and storytelling breaks are met frequently by gritty and potent grooves in abundance.

An esteemed producer, Acutek has already achieved commendable success within a relatively short period. His 2018 release on Biotech Recordings topped the Beatport ‘Hard Techno’ chart and was supported by the likes of Luigi Madonna, Christian Valera, Mark EG & TKNO among others. Acutek also has releases on Gibbon Records, Unknown Territory and Space City Recordings to boot, with several others lying in wait.

A frequent feature at many of Scotland’s burgeoning Techno venues and festivals including The Tunnels, Mash House, Bongo Club, Ironworks, Belladrum Festival, Mugstock Festival - Acutek has already had the pleasure of supporting some of the industry’s finest names. Jasper James, Jay Lumen, T78, Ramiro Lopez, Stephano Noferini, Gary Beck, Mark Broom, Pleasurekraft, Bontan, Anna, Lex Gorrie, Quail, Hans Bouffmyhre and Tommy Four Seven being just some of the artists to feature on the same lineup as the Forres native.

A talisman student of Glasgow’s revered SubSine Academy (dubbed ‘Soma Skool’ by many), Acutek has often rubbed shoulders with some of Techno’s most-celebrated artists whilst learning the tools of the trade. He has also invested his efforts into the globally-acclaimed Toolroom Academy, with the quality of his productions growing in stature at an exponential rate.

Using his ‘Flick’ event brand as a platform to further develop his reputation within the industry along with more releases and bookings in the pipeline, Acutek is planting all the right seeds to enable him to grow into a household name within the Techno universe.

Marco Crisanto aka Darkest is a Peruvian DJ with over three decades in the underground.
His journey began in Lima in the early 90s, playing at private parties and independent events that marked the city’s first encounters with electronic sound.

Soon after, he became one of the resident DJs at the legendary Club Bizarro — a venue remembered for its alternative identity, where new wave, alternative rock, industrial, ambient, house, trance, and early techno converged.
It was one of the first clubs in Lima to embrace electronic music, and Darkest was among the pioneers who introduced those sounds to its dance floor, opening a new chapter in the Peruvian underground.

In 1995, he moved to Cusco, where his sound evolved — darker, deeper, more hypnotic — merging techno, trance, and psychedelic tension into a refined and mind-bending flow.
In 2012, he relocated to Goa, India, spending over a decade immersed in the global psychedelic culture, performing internationally and refining his craft at the intersection of techno precision and trance consciousness.

From this journey emerged his unique style — a fusion he calls Visionary Techno and Cutting-edge PsyTechno__
a hybrid of Minimal, TechTrance, Deep Progressive and Hypnotic Pulse,
groove-driven, melodic in essence, cinematic in emotion, and designed for high-sensitivity ears.
It’s the intensity of techno meeting the depth of progressive and the transcendence of trance — visionary and human at once.

Recently, after spending a season in Australia, Darkest performed at The Void, Bar94, Berlin Calling; Technical Doofficulties Festival, Orin Aya Launch Party, and NYX Festival pre Party, sharing the stage with international artists and connecting diverse underground communities through sound.

Now based once again in Lima, he brings his international experience and evolved aesthetic to a new generation of listeners — bridging the hypnotic, the melodic, and the visionary.
