HYPEROBJECT is a new release by ADAMAN that explores non-traditional melodic structures, polyrhythmic grooves, and timbral resonance. With experimental compositions that utilize a mixture of indigenous instruments juxtaposed with electronic elements the soundscapes on this record are broad yet cohesive, ancient and modern, traditional yet experimental, old and new. 

As conceptualized by object-oriented philosopher Timothy Morton, 'Hyperobjects' are objects that are so large they defy human comprehension and may not even be perceived as objects at all, as they cannot be grasped in a physical sense. 'Hyperobjects' do not exist in a specific time and place, but are stretched out in a way that challenges their definition as something that is physical or material in nature.

The wonderfully strange and extraordinary sounds of Filtergeist makes its debut on Loot Recordings with three original cuts and remixes by INVŌKER, Roi Okev and Silence Path. Sink in, we’re all going on a trip with this EP...

The title track “Invocation” opens the release in mesmerizing style with drifting bells, washing soundscapes of distant voices and an assertive bass line that all works to create a feeling of mystery and melancholy. INVŌKER channels the hypnotic aesthetic of the original and delivers an electronic-fueled remix that packs a punch. Tough synth stabs and an electronic-infused interpretation provide a counterpoint to the soft melodies, surprising listeners with the powerful and beautiful vocals of Shri.

“Deja Vu” is a slow-burner that filled with hazy vibes, where repetition and layers of organic loops are the key. Swirling synths and effects are wrapped around a pulsating bass line, creating a trance-inducing atmosphere of emotive melodies and twisted rhythms. Roi Okev delivers a moody, heavier interpretation which brings the drums and bottom end to the forefront while teasing the right amount of spaced-out synths and melodies.

“Wisterian Waves” closes the EP with undulating toms, lush pads and rolling bass line that gives this a timeless feel. Silence Path returns with a remix that balances the spacey motif of the original with a sonically playful, organic rendition that captures our hearts.

DowntempoLove is a multicultural art collective based in Berlin. Seeking true passion for music and artistic expression of human kind our events are focused on the ground-minded, likewise-thinking, interested in the raw and natural development of life itself.
In the Music scene a lot of labels and collectives are identifying themselves with the spiritual, sometimes ancient or even mystical. Also, when we are strong believers of the supernatural and empowerment of the mind for becoming a better self, for us often is missing the active part of improving our society and really creating awareness of what is wrong. Through these thoughts we are looking for artists who are supporting the critical view on society, questioning state and its leaders, and even going as far as seeing false flags and supporting alternative views on life itself. Chris Ojeda - Rimal (Renga Weh Remix)

ADAE is an artist, producer, and performer based in Berlin. He describes his style of music as "painting with sound" - infusing spectral sound palettes with volumetric ambience as compositions evolve, and entire sets of music unfold. 

A musician since he was 13 years old, he studied ethnomusicology and audio engineering at university and later traveled around the world extensively where he was exposed to new cultures and indigenous sounds. Many of these influences can be found in his music today.

He has performed at Burning Man since 2007, and regularly at events in San Francisco and Seattle. After moving to Berlin, ADAE released 3 EP’s of original music that blur the lines between genres and subvert expectations. 

He is the founder of Heart Deco & The Phoenix -- a popular Burning Man project, esplanade camp, and art/sound vehicle that ran for over 6 years -- as well as other projects. 

In 2019 he joined the Holzmarkt (GuK) cooperative to help support the excellent work that this project is doing to build community and creativity in the heart of Berlin. He has also supported one of San Francisco’s top electronic music venues, The Great Northern, as a limited partner since 2016. 

In his working life, ADAE has created software tools for music lovers and audio professionals at various companies.
