Musically inspired by soulful vocalists George Michael and Sam Smith, Justin Peng offers a captivating blend of R&B, soul, and pop that resonates with a global audience.

After winning a Chinese Central Television (CCTV) talent competition: Bravo Youngsters (华彩少年）in 2020, Justin is swiftly making his mark, Vogue China named him the “Rising Newcomer”, Nichole Scherzinger highly praised his soulful vocal control, whereas Gary Barlow complemented that: “You have great potential”. As a songwriter, Justin has also written for the closing ceremony song (bilingual version) for the 4th Asian Para Games in Hangzhou in 2023 and the the opening ceremony song for Henan Province Culture and Tourism Conference in 2024. After his sold-out London headline show at the Grace (150 capacity) in May 2024, and his festival debut at the Sound City Liverpool (5000 capacity), Justin is gearing up for his 2025 London headline show at the Lower Third, on the 8th of February, and he will be performing at Mighty Hoopla 2025, on Sunday the 1st of June.

Originally from a traditional Chinese family, Justin moved to the UK alone at the age of 13. With a lack of familial support, growing up was extremely tough. Music and song writing became the emotional outlet for Justin to navigate his feelings and struggles. In his upcoming debut EP, "Growing Out" showcases Justin’s artistic evolution and features songs written and performed in both English and Mandarin Chinese. The EP delves into his British-Asian upbringing, the struggles of accepting one’s identity, the sad reality of family separation, and the feelings of alienation experienced as a first-generation immigrant.

Justin is ready to take his place. Like Rina Sawayama and Griff, he wishes to bring the underrepresented East-Asian talent to the forefront through his music, represent his communities by creating a space where diverse voices are heard and celebrated, and inspire others to pursue their passions relentlessly.
