Maple Ridge is a bluegrass band from Greenfield Massachusetts with Terry Atkinson on guitar, Joe Blumenthal on bass, John Rough on banjo and Adam Sweet on fiddle and mandolin.  They play a mixture of bluegrass, acoustic country, western swing and celtic music.

"Vermont Roads and Rivers" is a folk-bluegrass ballad inspired by the devastating floods that have struck Vermont three years in a row — all on the same day. After reading a moving article in the Valley News about the destruction in towns like Barre and Plainfield, I sat down with my guitar and fiddle to tell the story the way I know best. This song is for the resilient people of Vermont, who keep rising no matter how hard the waters come.
