This coming Wednesday, we gather to mourn the loss of an old friend, the Wii Shop Channel. That's right, after a fantastic run of about 15 years, this service is now coming to a close. Since it's debut in 2006, Wii Shop Channel was the harbinger of the virtual console and helped kick-start an era that would become the ever-thriving "Nindie" scene across all future Nintendo hardware! We've used the shop for cool exclusives like Pokemon Rumble and Megaman 10 and a whole heap of shovelware that you never knew you wanted but now that you have it you still don't want it.
