TRNG RGN is the collaboration between Symptim K (The Gut Buckets, O.W.L.S. crew) and Blocks (Stevie Adams- Funky Arthur and the Sunshine Kids), two southside Minneapolis natives and rapper/producers who met in 2023 while onboarding at a soul-sucking government job. After discovering a shared love of post-millenial underground and local hip-hop ([insert key influences]), they set out to see what happens when two people with similar personal biographies and eerily compatible music tastes fuck around and make a few songs together. 

The 6 tracks off their self-titled EP are the culmination of a year spent swapping beats and verses, covering everything from vaguely political bomb throwing to esoteric shit talking, with a dash of deeply emotional public trauma processing thrown in for good measure.

Juke Nukem, a DJ/Producer with roots firmly planted in Texas during the bolstering DnB scene of the early 2000s, relocated to Minneapolis, Mn in 2006. By 2011, he founded Slipmats Radio, the weekly internet radio show for turntablism; later growing into a local dj cooperative. Subsequently, he was introduced to the Chicago juke/footwork culture and never looked back. 

In 2013, he launched DISTRICT160. A record label dedicated to 160bpm music culture, including but not limited to juke/footwork. The proclaimed duke of Minneapolis juke, would go on to host various events throughout the twin cities. Most notably, the Bounce parties at the famed Honey, and the D160 nights at Maruso Bar. 

Today, unbound from the stigma of being genre specific, Juke Nukem integrates these influences into a passionate display of diverse ingenuity…
