At Addictech we’ve been fans of Cord for many years, a Hungarian producer that has been delivering glitch since the turn of the century. His latest Birdie EP is an excellent execution of originality and production quality. 

The title track is inspired by a traditional Hungarian folk song. The original song lends its harmonies, the vocals are transformed beyond recognition, but the track keeps its original flavor. Rolling neuro basses spiced with pads and loads of granular effects originated from the folk source; these all add to the special and colorful feeling of this spectacular track.

Seduction is a bit less melodic, but reflects a uniquely aural landscape. A nicely shuffled groove, robotic voices, exciting glitches and layers of sound tear apart the speakers with a fractal waveform.

The third track begins with a distinct atmosphere, then vocoded beats foreshadow what’s next. The drums start supported by the bassline, interweaved melodies accompany the drones, contrasting a peaceful theme during the breakdown.

The closing track is a perfect ending. Polyphonic bells, melodic reese bass and accustoming arpeggios roll with a changing pace, ensuring the listener this new EP is more than a worthy restart after Cord's few years off.

Respected as one of the best live Canadian DJs in the game, Grandtheft has taken a break from globetrotting to pack in a HUGE release for Jeffree’s. Along with World Red Bull Thre3style champ and close pal Hedspin, they have made something minimal but fierce with their track “Mobbin.” The build channels the darkness of No Limit Records at its prime while the drop carries the bounce of a screwed and chopped new jack swing track. That, combined with the most menacing synth stab we’ve heard in a while, makes this tune unstoppable.

With “Give Me More,” Grandtheft lends us a soulful track that marries a delicious combination trap and dub in the same vein as his popular remix of Keys N Krates’ song “Treat Me Right” released off of Dim Mak. The juxtaposition of the drop is a total WTF moment for any club-goer and we mean that in the best way possible. Grandtheft’s momentum continues to pick up incredible speed with each release, and we don’t see his rise mellowing out anytime soon.

Na początku był Minecraft, teraz są gry! Remek poszerza kontent - spróbuj i Ty!

To jest moje życie, to poważne, nie zaprzeczam, po prostu uwielbiam tego człowieka!
Pamiętacie Skyrima? Też świetna seria, cała oparta na fajnych momentach,
Remi nie lamił a wręcz przeciwnie, był wielki progress, tak w każdym filmie.
Serie okazyjne, na przykład świąteczna, to dobry pomysł, by była atmosfera,
Strasznie rodzinnie, czuję się jak w domu, aż dziwię się, że robię tyle zachodu,

“Voices Heard”, the second Gravitas-aimed offering by Hungarian wizard-class producer AMB, follows closely in the footsteps of the former “Going Down” EP delivered last year. Presented like the soundtrack to a post-apocalyptic romance film, the eerie, haunting motif that appears throughout nags at you like an itch you can’t quite reach. An itch that happens time and again, until you’re at long last sated upon reaching the final moments of the journey. 

The captivating, pitched vocals on “By Myself” tend to become trapped in your head, steeped alongside sultry guitar and distant, abstract chords. “Barrel of Belief” pulls abundant influence from the quintessential era of breaks and combines it with dark, distorted melodics. The blippy, tech-heavy stylings of “Slow Down” secure it as the most energetic of the five track collection, closely followed by “Can Hear Your Voice” resolving every bit of built up tension with its smooth groove.
