Firing up all cylinders, we start our engines for 2019 with the year ahead set to be full of releases from up and coming talents and Addictive stalwarts. We begin with this three track treat from the man known as Objectiv, who first made his appearance on Addictive's recent 5 Year's album with his stunning liquid vibes in 'Obligation'. He returns with this head-spinning 3 track single, demonstrating some solid & diverse productions skills from the London based producer.

Each riddim on offer brings a different flavour to the release. Opening strong with 'Tape Pack', a techy stepper delivering a snappy punch with crispy sticky drums and intricate percussions in the mids. Stalking close behind is 'The Greyhound' in track number two. This fast paced heavy hitting dogger is in a class all of its own and hotly tipped by big headz and music press to trigger an all new dnb Sub-genre. The urban hipster's are calling it a "Rolley Roller". All we know is it will get those subs a woofing! And to finish, a collaboration with producer Teej titled 'Absolute'. Objectiv and Teej's versatility is shown here, with its majestic build-up in the intro dropping out into twisted bassy stabs. A real moody dance-floor killer.

Be sure to keep an ear out for Objectiv as the young producer hones his music making mastery for the next era. . .

Fighting Fire: Relief for Australia is an initiative to raise money to support fire fighters and the communities affected by the current bushfire crisis in Australia.

The project involved the coordination and release of a collaborative drum and bass LP hosted on Play it Forward.

The money raised will be donated to Red Cross Australia. Red Cross provide psychological first aid (among other support) for those affected by events like severe bushfires.

Mental health is a big topic in the music scene and the psychological impact of a traumatic event such as that in Australia would be undoubtedly devastating.

Donating to the Red Cross will directly assist fire fighters, their families and communities in healing and rebuilding following this devastating time.

Artists involved in the project include Bally & Boom, Creatures, Embr, Equilibr1um, False Relation, Freshney, Handsprime, HD, Incus, Jay Marwaha, Jimi Reborn, KOAX, LoKo, M:FX, missledz, Moose, N-MON1C, Philth, Screamarts, Serpico (Philth & Volatile Cycle), SMP, Sublimit and Transforma.  It's been a pleasure to have them involved and we thank them for their contributions. Mark (Abis) kindly offered to master any tracks that were unmastered, which we are very grateful for.

'Take Me' brings forward a heavier sound whilst effortlessly displaying this signature sound. An atmospheric intro suddenly dives into a pulsating, subby drop that gives some of the front-runners in the minimal scene a run for their money. Snappy percussion and a stepping beat give this track a serious groove, reinforced by the combination of many subtle individual elements that combine to make one meticulously crafted dancefloor destroyer.
