Discovery

The duo Two Turntable returns with strong creative energy on their new release, Inspire Me EP, delivering two Liquid Drum and Bass tracks shaped by introspection and sonic experimentation.

The opening track, “My Jazz is Jungle”, acts as a bridge between tradition and innovation: deep, organic basslines intertwine with jazz-inspired improvisations, recreating an atmosphere that nods to the genre’s roots while pushing into contemporary territory. The beats flow smoothly, guiding the listener through a journey that shifts between contemplation and motion.

The title track, “Inspire Me”, expands on this concept with an even more immersive approach. Here, the basslines take on a more experimental character, blending with ethereal pads and pulsating rhythms that evoke both hope and reflection. The result is an emotive Liquid DnB experience—subtle yet powerful.

With this EP, Two Turntable reaffirms their identity as artists unafraid to break formulas, exploring the less obvious paths of Drum and Bass. Sustance - Rugged (Noisia Radio Cut) - Dispatch LTD 034 - OUT NOW

The latest instalment in Addictive’s growing repertoire of carefully crafted EP’s, another various artist venture which sees old favourites joined by several new additions to the label’s evolving roster of talent. Immerse yourself in their sound and take a journey through the Transitions. . .

Opening the release, Addictive regulars Mystic State team up with Third Degree to set the tone with their murky & sinister ‘Under The Shadow’ track. Teasing in with a flickering of hats and airy pads, before a heavily filtered ripping synth emerges from the darkness. Reverberating along with mind blowing modulation alongside intricately placed drum rolls, this track brings character and originality from the Mystic State boys and their friend from South West, Third Degree.

Stepping in to the light next is Sam Binary, a new recruit to the AB team dropping his label debut ‘March of the Mutants’. It drips in slow with the ring of distant glacial sweeps before a metallic jungle beat hammers in. This drum heavy roller gathers pace as it rumbles along, throwing in amens and monstrous growls along with its relentless unforgiving sub bass. Hailing from the D&B hub of Bristol, it’s clear to anyone’s ears that Sam Binary brings huge potential with his solid production.

We’re then introduced to another new member, and new name in general, although this duo are by no means newbies to the scene. Trojan Sound is a collab project that brings together the combined knowledge and production power of label managers, Sam Kalm (Nurtured Beats) and James Draize (Lost Recordings). They hit it off superbly with their debut ‘Return to Dust’ adding a subtle yet powerful bassline roller to the EP that will ring in your head for days.

Finishing off, Austrian based Wingz flies in his addition to the release for his first outing on the label. With previous releases on Flexout and Demand Records and support from the likes of Noisia, Wingz is a producer to look out for. His ‘Faceless’ track rounds up the EP perfectly, continuing the mysterious and sombre themes whilst adding his own touch of creepy tech to the collection. Another solid production, full of layers and a distinctive personality.

The Transitions EP brings together a plethora of talent from across the globe, old and new to the label. Each brings their own unique array of musical sorcery to the mix, whilst still blending together seamlessly. Look out for more from this crew on Addictive!

Other Sepctrum is a producer who has been on our radar for some time now, we proudly present his debut Boey Project, a 2 Part Release, starting with the "Left Brain" EP.

The left side of the brain is responsible for controlling the right side of the body. It also performs tasks that have to do with logic, such as in science and mathematics. Other Spectrum perfectly emulates the work of the Left brain in this stripped back and intelligent 4 track EP.

Hypnotic from the get go "Gre Chka" captures the attention with crisp production, interesting Pattern work and a Warm Sub.

     "Get Over Here You Bastard" rolls out with a slick steppin' minimal beat and lovely ragga sample. 

     "Chain Reaction" then takes a different tone with hints of early Techstep infused with Neuro inspired structure and sounds this stripped roller merges multiple sounds and eras in what is a perfect penultimate track.

    "Bucklwheatscope" closes the "Left Brain" EP and prepares us for part 2 of the release "Right Brain" EP . .

Delta9 Recordings has a scope which stretches throughout the most creative parts of Europe, places which are renowned as a hotbed for music, as well as a breeding ground for artists. From Berlin, Germany to Bergamo, Italy, the label has built itself on top of these two cities, bringing forward artists from the continent’s furthest reaches and pushing them onto the pedestal provided for them by the label. Delta9 Recordings focuses on mainly the dark, minimalistic sounds of drum & bass and this is something which is highlighted throughout their slowly growing back catalogue of music. Their next EP follows this tradition, with DJ and producer Frame taking centre stage for his moody, rolling delivery. The relative newcomer is about to offer the Delta9 Recordings fan base three brand new sonic cuts which epitomise what he represents; a no-holds barred production standard and a level of musicality which isn’t watered down by the music’s darker undertones.

First to be unveiled is title-track ‘On the Road’, a record which begins with a strange looping of bass and flying beats, peppered by scuttling percussion which juts out from between each layer. It’s an introduction into Frame and if it’s your first insight into his artistry; you become aware of how immersive his production is. ‘Pony Express’ peddles hollowed breaks, which break up the mix and pull you down each rattling drum sequence with a power that keeps the record driving forward. It’s reminiscent of the old-school vibes which made drum & bass such a recognisable genre, however it also boasts a more contemporary standard with its low lying bassline, one which ducks and dives throughout the composition. Ending the EP is ‘Unbreakable’, one which draws you in through its throbbing bass pads which are like a heartbeat beneath its intro. As ‘Unbreakable’ descends, you’re thrown into loops of crashing drum pounds, something which is unmistakably a part of Frame’s engineering. As a collective, every track featured demonstrates Frame’s appeal as an addition to any DJ set. This is something which will continue with the help of Delta9 Recordings, an imprint who are already leaving their own legacy.
