With over 3 released albums, 2 EPs, and the third album on its way, Umar Plummer, better known as Jah Rain, is an expert independent singer-songwriter, producer, and audio engineer on the rise in the Reggae world. Hailing from Kingston, Jamaica and while attending Rock Hall Primary in St.Andrew, Jah Rain’s influence came from numerous big-name reggae musicians and artistes such as Lee Scratch Perry, Dennis Brown, Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Burning Spears, and the list goes on.

Although none of his family members were involved in music, Jah Rain had an ear and active passion for music after only a year or two of experiencing life. Ever since he was a young boy, Jah Rain’s father, Dyrick, would hang around a small band in his community where he would always take him to their rehearsal and that’s where his obsession grew.

Over the years, Jah Rain developed his skills with vocals, composing instrumentals, audio engineering, and producing for a short period. 

He began writing and performing in his teens. After studying his musical role models, Jah Rain adopted a unique approach to his career by growing his locs and creating a more spiritual and cultural vibration to assist with the rhythmic flavor of all of his performances.

Jah Rain has produced numerous reggae artists namely Frankie Paul, Eddie Fitzroy, Chaka Demus, Lutan Fyah, and John Mouse to name a few. These interactions helped him to gain recognition and acknowledgment.

Jah Rain aspires to keep producing music that speaks to fans across the musical spectrum. His signature style has become synonymous with a diverse collection of melodies and compositions. 

This musician is on the rise, and nothing can stop him from achieving the success for which he has worked diligently. He is currently working on a few albums.

En 2012 fundó su propio sello discográfico independiente (Chronic Records) con el que ha respaldado y publicado +300 referencias propias y de otros artistas.

Como promotor (Dancehall Xplosion Festival) cuenta con una experiencia de 34 ediciones del festival, en 11 ciudades diferentes, sumando mas de 25.000 asistentes en total.

A collective out of Australia, Iron Gate Sound has been a mainstay of Sydney’s reggae-dancehall scene since 2012. The brainchild of Flip and Gilsun, Iron Gate Sound has dropped a steady stream of mixtapes and independently released music under its Iron Gate Records label over the last decade.
 
Working with dub, reggae, dancehall and grime artists from Jamaica and Europe, Iron Gate Records has always maintained a connection to roots even as it has sought to develop, reinterpret and innovate new sounds.

The young reggae siren’s musical education began at a tender age under the keen eyes and ears of her father, veteran Reggae singer Max Romeo, a wise teacher who encouraged his youngest daughter at every step along her natural progression.  “I look up to my dad as an idol in the music business as he's the one who inspired me to do music for the people”, Xana says. After years of patient development this child of the music stands poised to share her signature vocal stylings with the world.  Faithfully advancing along her musical path, Xana’s steady rise as a Roots, Dub, and Reggae artiste has been attracting positive attention from music lovers across the globe.
