It’s no coincidence this is one of the favourite quotes and stories of the multitalented Belgian-Moroccan DJ, songwriter and singer Fatïa. 

Born in Belgium, she spent every summer holiday with her family in Morocco. Travelling back and forth to get to know the local culture and traditions.

At the age of 16 she became a professional dancer in the Belgian clubs and the lead singer for a local band. What sparked her inner fire and drive to become a professional DJ.

In1998 Fatïa finally got the chance to travel the world as a DJ and perform at various clubs (Space in Ibiza, the Summer of Love festival in the Czech Republic,...) 

Set out on a mission to keep the Berber heritage alive, build bridges between East and West, she strives to empower women to help them achieve their goals and to develop artistic, emotional and financial independence, regardless of their background, origin, creed. Using western dance beats, Arabic chants of her childhood, ethnic instruments, and the traditional Berber facial and body tattoos, she’s ready to amaze the world.

We've been in contact for a few months now and this enthousiastic guy's got some serious talent when it comes to producing and converting his emotions into a single mix or track.

We know it's not easy to tell your story in 60, 90 or even 120 minutes, but this lunatic surely made a statement and delivered us a proper signature mix.

Energy bursts from start to finish with a crazy tempo and excellent choice of tracks. 🤪

Jonathan Brahimi, born in ’92 in Sint-Niklaas.
As a child he got to know the first electronic house music by secretly putting on the CD's of 'La mama'. Those were the Cherrymoon cd's. He liked them immediately and so a love for this style grew. Later on, after his first dj steps, he still stuck to that genre and that's the way he chose to be a producer. He released tracks on vintage deep records and tripoutmusic. Further releases are planned for the summer of 2021.

Besides that, he's owner of a techno concept called 'After Hype' where he's supporting and promoting local DJ's and producers.
This concept grew from 2011 into a exclusive festival with only 750 tickets. Some DJ’s who played at the festival are Nico Morano, Vision Machine, Solina, Kapibara, Captain Flash and ofcourse Interface himself.

“An unseen balance between light and darkness”

Scattering for many years between different underground music genres, this frequency collided with the techno soundscape in 2016, creating an outburst of energy.

Equipped with a rumbling, driving, and unseen dedication to his passion, his journey began...

After he took the Belgian MUSICASA producer’s education, as a first step to pursuing his dream, he quickly released EP's and remixes on melodic techno labels such as SMR Underground, Melodia Records, Tanzgemeinschaft, and Papaya music.

After releasing and performing on various stages, and through the process of producing and self-awareness, he felt the melodic techno genre wasn’t the perfect reflection of what inspired and drove him.

In 2022 he had a change of heart as he started focusing more on
underground hypnotic, atmospheric and ambient techno, reaching for that inner spirit and dynamic balance. This resulted in releases on some of the biggest labels in the hypnotic scene like DORIAN, The Gods Planet, BAHN, Khoros, Informa, Space Textures, Arcadia,... with many more on the way.

Host of the podcast ‘Adjust (BE) Invites’ (2020-2023), he invited numerous DJ’s and Producers to make a signature guest mix, where the DJ/producer is the key element.

For over 130 episodes spreading over 3 years and reaching new listeners each month, the fanbase and mutual respect between colleagues kept growing daily.

In 2023 he started a new and hypnotic/deep-techno-exclusive podcast called ‘Andhera’, which translates to ‘darkness’ in Sanskrit. With every Full Moon or Solar Eclipse, a talented and highly respected DJ/producer creates a unique story.

An artist, hand-picked by himself, whom he highly admires, respects and who empowers and understands techno’s dark, ambient and emotional side.⁠

His style of playing and producing can be described as a perfectly, yet delicate, carved out balance between light and darkness, melancholic and emotionally charged. Cinematic sounds, rich and full of atmospheres, super evocative soundscapes with an inexplicable soul that can only be grasped when fully immersed into it.
