The fifth and final chapter of the Raíces series marks the closing of a profound cycle — a journey that has explored the dialogue between sound and Nature, rhythm and remembrance. Raíces V gathers four artists whose works intertwine ancestral resonance and contemporary sonic architecture, tracing the invisible thread that connects the organic with the electronic.

Each piece unfolds as a ritual of grounding: deep techno pulses meet ancient drums, acoustic textures, and echoes of the living earth. In times of uncertainty, these sounds act as roots — anchoring us, reminding us of the fertile stillness beneath movement.

Curated by Aleja Sánchez, the release features new works from Vand, Vardae, Dino Sabatini and her own composition, closing a series dedicated to honoring music as both a spiritual language and a return to origin.

Aruq was conceived during our eighth open demo submission phase, in which over 220 members of Aedi were invited to submit one of their unreleased tracks.

All submissions were collected in an anonymous playlist and voted on by the same community. The title and artwork underwent similar democratic processes.

This new VA offers a journey through contemporary soundscapes, where sound, texture, and rhythm interacts with fluidity. Nine productions revolve around a shared balance of energy, space, and emotional depth, creating a continuous sonic flow.

The journey opens with Cyberlife, delivering a dark, soft introduction, a slowed-down break with percussive undertones, perfect for easing into the immersion. The energy builds with Jafadan, driven by a dub groove and resonant toms, gradually adding depth to the sonic material. Hohe continues the ascent with a tribal, textured track, built on repetition and vibration in an organic loop with hypnotic tension. Mersel pushes the narrative into an analog and psychedelic dimension, with massive basses and expansive synths. Solarythm steps in with a faster tempo and granular, trancy layers, where heavy bass intertwines with a hypnotic melody. Fonzo shifts the journey into a sci-fi universe, combining break rhythms and dissonant synths to create an evolving, kinetic soundscape. The duo Sublife (Sub Accent and Cyberlife) delivers percussive, introspective techno, enriched with airy pads and breathing analog textures. Yunze Ou leads the descent into the final stretch with a slow, melodic track, deeply rooted in deep sensibilities. The compilation closes with an ambient, cinematic track by 矯激 [Radical], whose deep basses open a space of suspension, somewhere between sci-fi and dreamlike reverie.

Indian label & collective Qilla is closing out a busy 2025 with their final release of the year ‘Morung’, a 4-track EP that marks the return of Hyderabad-based producer Midnight Traffic. The release exemplifies the symbiotic relationship that can develop between artist & label. It’s a beautiful full circle moment, as Qilla was the home of Midnight Traffic’s debut EP back in 2015. Over the course of the past decade, he has made regular appearances on Qilla. His fifth release there, ‘Morung’ is a representation of 10 years of creativity & growth, compressed into 4 tracks  with his immersive, psychedelic take on techno. It’s music for fast, light-footed movement on an energized dancefloor. 

In Northeastern India, a 'morung’ is largely a symbolic structure in modern times but represents a place of community to attain important life skills at a young age in India’s past. Their influence has faded as society continues to advance rapidly into the future, but the symbolism is felt here as Midnight Traffic draws a parallel to his own growth as an artist over years. The abstract shape of a morung can be seen on the artwork, which immediately brings to mind some of the triangular DJ booths & stages at our favorite festivals around the world. 

One of four talented remixers on the EP, French producer Aerae has confidently molded & reshaped the title track into her own signature style of heady downtempo / drum & bass. Her remix is a pressure cooker, buzzing with energy & warmth as it builds tension & slowly releases it throughout the course of the track’s entirety. 

Midnight Traffic’s ‘Morung’ EP including remixes from Aerae, Zara, Audrey Danza & Andy Garvey will be released digitally on December 22nd.

PREMIERE: Midnight Traffic - Morung (Aerae Remix) [Qilla Records]

Our first premiere of the year we have the undeniable honor of hosting our good friend and label head of Secuencias Temporales, no other than @eafhmlive. This brilliantly crafted rhythmic release has 4 parts of deepening tribal drums, brooding emotions and intricate music production.

Eafhm is a multidisciplinary project created through the evolution of different artistic and exploratory stages. This project has developed different facets, including a career as an audio performer and producer, experimenting with a wide variety of musical sequences. It seeks to integrate interpersonal ideas that oscillate between a variety of solid concepts. This project also defines the transformation of the artist, who has developed under different aliases over many years.
As an audio engineer and producer, each performance is designed to create an atmosphere based on sound art, generative art, and techno in its different variations. This release focuses on the harmony and melody of percussion, reinforced by subtle atmospheres. This story is developed and told in four parts from the same core.
