My throbbing heart has become Your bed, 
In the curves of my chest, I have hid Your dwelling,

I have left the universe, in its disorder
And abandoned everything, so I may live with You

I have no thought, nor opinion nor 
Any other desire, but to follow You

And my father Jacob, I know his secret; 
I know now how, he wrestled You

There is nothing sweeter, than the time of prayer
It saves me from my tribulations, and I gain His contentment
It keeps pain away from me, and enlightens my heart

Through the blood of the courageous martyrs, the suffering of the confessors, the diligence of the fathers, and the faithfulness of the believers, the Coptic Church holds fast the traditional and essential dogma that Christ intended for the whole world. We hold fast to this precious gem and guard it with our lives through God’s evident grace and care for His Church.
