The next installment on Soulfooled sees Greek born DJ and Producer Echonomist deliver this smashing three tracker EP entitled ‘Dangerous’. Being active under numerous aliases since the mid nineties, Echonomist has gained recognition by crafting his skills in DJ booths across Greece and the rest of Europe. His acclaimed live performances are consistently delivering a fusion of minimal techno and house to each and every club that he graces. His new release on Soulfooled promises to bring exactly that to all those listening.

First track ‘The Underground’ is the perfect hybrid of techno and house. Being driven forward by a heavy bass line that ascends throughout the track perfectly arriving to an almost sudden break that this extremely talented producer is so often associated with. 

Combining crisp hi-hats and a dark undertone vocal melody, ‘Dangerous’ Feat Lazarus Man delivers a similar yet more atmospheric track to the EP. Accompanied by a delayed synth pad that hauntingly echoes through the ears of all those listening, this production accurately portrays the music that Echonomist is so passionate about and dedicated to.

This exquisitely composed EP also includes a club edit of ‘Dangerous’ by German DJ, Producer and AEON curator Alex Niggemann. Alex’s love and dedication to his label is proven by his involvement in releases such as this one, as we see him put his unique, yet distinctive spin on the original. Enjoy…

Saline is the third installment in a series of records from Ultramajic boss Jimmy Edgar. While the first part, Hot Inside, represented the element of fire, and its follow-up release, Mercurio, symbolized water, Saline is aligned with earth. It's no accident that the name refers specifically to the earthly compound salt, as desalination is an integral metaphysical process that helps to hone the third eye.

The EP rises from the ashes of Hot Inside and Mercurio with "Burn," a blazing acid-tinged banger that boats dry drums and a strangled wail. The reference to fire in the title suggests the evolution of Edgar's series of singles, while the name of the track "Decalcify" invokes a process closely related to desalination, as both play a role in making the body more attuned to supernatural experiences. Ultramajic's Chicago house influence enticed legendary footwork producer DJ Rashad, who's voice can be heard in the sampled squawk on metallic tune "Walk Show." The final track "Who's Watchin," features Jimmy's own vocal, coy bleep-bloop instrumentation and hissing hi-hats. Taken as a whole, Saline and the other releases in Jimmy's series of dance singles are designed to instigate the processes they allude to and aid in the path of spiritual development.

Born the son of a Jazz musician and brother to British hip-hop artist Monie Love, Dave’s path in music came to the fore during the 80s acid house scene in London

Dave’s weekly broadcast on pirate radio station Phaze One catapulted him into the spot light with notable publications like Mixmag, DJ Magazine and The Guardia. He has remixed Orbital, Sun Electric, Carl Cox, Juan Atkins, Spooky, James, Roni Size and Underworld and released on esteemed labels such as Polydor/Love, OuterRythum, Fnac, React Records, Island, R+S and Outrage as well as his own infamous Rotation records.

My Favorite Robot Records introduce a new act to their eclectic roster in the form of German duo Iftah Gabbai and Olaf Hilgenfeld aka Skinnerbox. With their three track "Sawtooth Blues" EP, the duo serve up a smattering of exciting new cuts and rightly call themselves an “avant-jazz opus wrapped in a disco suitcase.”

Here, we feature the EP's title track ‘Sawtooth Blues,’ opening things up in gloopy style, with bendy, downbeat bass synths off set by more colourful pads up top. It’s an undulating, warm and comforting tune with a left of centre sense of melody that really resonates.
