Dizem que o Brasil é o irmão mais novo da África. Por uma questão histórica, é realmente impressionante ver como as raízes africanas estão presentes em praticamente todos os lugares da cultura popular brasileira. Ao longo de 5 séculos de história essas raízes evoluiram se misturando com outras culturas e influências, como o Catolicismo e Espiritismo (dos colonizadores europeus), a tradição dos Orixás africanos (dos escravos) e espíritos de origem indígena (dos nativos da terra) dando origem a Umbanda, considerada a única "religião verdadeiramente brasileira".

Esse é um trabalho de pesquisa e vivência em forma de mixtape, inspirado pelos batuques e o sincretismo religioso, cultural e musical afro-brasileiro. Músicas de cura, louvor, raíz e invocação. Música para abrir caminhos.

They say Brazil is Africa's younger brother. As a historical matter, it is truly amazing to see how African roots are present in virtually every corner of Brazilian popular culture. Over the course of 5 centuries of history these roots have evolved mingling with other cultures and influences such as Catholicism and Spiritism (the European settlers), the tradition of the African Orixas (the slaves) and spirits of indigenous origin (the natives of the land) giving rise to UMBANDA, considered the only "truly Brazilian religion".

This is a work of research and experience in the form of mixtape, inspired by the batuques and the Afro-Brazilian religious, cultural and musical syncretism. Songs of roots, healing, praise and invocation to open the paths of dark spirits.

Le filet de bœuf aurait ainsi pris de nom de tournedos. Pour certains chroniqueurs, c'est Casimir Moisson, le chef du restaurant La Maison dorée qui aurait créé ce plat pour le compositeur, qui était un habitué. Pour d'autres, Marie-Antoine Carême, ami de Rossini et l’une des plus grandes toques de l'époque, en serait à l'origine."
